Cayugaridge has been breeding basset hounds after competing in the hound ring for over 15 years with standard wire dachshunds and breeding American cocker spaniels for over 20 years in the USA. Our lines are based on imported American and European lines, as well as Australian lines from Beauchasseur basset hounds. We test all our dogs for key basset hound health issues including LaFora, POAG, severe autoimmune syndrome and thrombocytopaenia. We pride ourselves on great basset temperaments, type and correct movement. We've imported and added leading European lines to enhance our breeding program in 2024. We have a litter arriving at the end of October 2024 with Ch Cayugaridge Curacao (tricolour male) x Ch Cayugaridge The Botanist (mahogany and white female). See photos in our breed profile. Both dogs are health tested.

Standard wire-haired dachshunds for show or obedience. Imported UK, European and US bloodlines including I Spy, Sunsong, Boloria, Treis Pinheiros, Brumberhill and Ambiesque. We select for great dispositions, soundness, type, harsh coat texture and minimal shedding. We screen all breeding stock for recommended standard wire health panel tests. Our dogs have achieved championship titles in conformation, obedience, lure coursing, earth dog and scent work to date. We breed versatile champions. We have a lovely litter that has just arrived in September 2024! Ch Brumberhill Mr Wilks JW Imp UK x Ch Cayugaridge Versace. Both of these dogs were leading champions in the breed, and top winning puppies of the breed! Great temperaments, type and coat. We had 7 lovely wild boar puppies and may have one or two to offer for your consideration.
