With great sadness and after much soul searching we have made the decision that we need to rehome one of our boys.
The boys are father and son, Morgan (Ch Maesgwyn Red Baron of Parma) and Ross (Maesgwyn Sir Ross Poldark) who are 10 and 6. Both are in excellent health - both have been neutered. Morgan has a little arthritis in his back leg which is quite normal at his age. Our dogs tend to live until 14 or 15/16, so it is likely Morgan will do the same.
They are both loving, fun and intelligent. All our dogs are house dogs and when we are home they are happy just being with us. None of our dogs are used to children, so we think a home with no young kids but rather teenagers will be best and/or a desexed female dog.
We feel a home with an older couple would work well for Morgan and that he will adjust well to being only child. He is very fit and loves long walks and walks very well on lead.
Ross loves other dogs but can get rather boisterous and excitable. An active family, perhaps with teenagers or another dog (female or desexed male) would work well for him. We strongly recommend dog training to help build a bond between you.
As we cannot decide which one (and we don’t actually want to part with either of them), that decision will be made depending on the potential pet parents. We would prefer that they stay in Victoria, if possible, so we can continue to support the new family.
