Welcome to Grossbotwar Standard Schnauzers - a family breeding for show and pets. Our dogs live on our farm, together with our family, horses, cattle, sheep, hens and cats. The foundation of Grossbotwar Schnauzers is Grand Champion lines from breeders aiming to improve the quality of Standard Schnauzers in Australia and overseas. We invite any prospective puppy owners to meet us and our dogs before making a commitment to a Schnauzer.

We have owned Schnauzers since 1992 starting with a miniature schnauzer. We then obtained our first standard schnauzer in 1993. Our dogs have always been family pets and participated in obedience training as well as showing. We have always had a very keen interest in the breed. Now our family has grown up, giving us time to concentrate on showing and to start our breeding program. Our foundation dogs are from imported European lines, all have wonderful temperaments as do their parents. Our aim is to breed quality Schnauzers following the European lines with good temperaments & soundness being a priority. All our dogs are hip and elbow scored. Our objective is Standard Schnauzers with wonderful temperaments, outstanding conformation, equally at home as champions in the show ring, as agility and obedience champions, and as the most adorable pets cuddling with their families in the lounge room. Many of our puppies have excelled at various dog sports, such as Lure Coursing and Nose Work, and a number are excelling as Therapy and Companion Dogs. We combine the best of Australian Standard Schnauzer blood-lines with the best of international bloodlines to provide our Swashbuckle families with amazing dogs of great genetic diversity and soundness. All of our girls are tested for DCM, hip-scored, and have full genetic mark-ups to help ensure our puppies are vibrant and healthy.
