We have been involved with this breed for over 40 years and are passionate about keeping to the breed standard and not blindly following new fashions and trends. We respect the breed standard for size and weight and all important colour. We rarely breed having bred only two litters since 2014. Both these litters produced an outstanding male, CH Willjon Right Said Fred (in collaboration with Willjon Yorkies) in 2014 and Ch Nuyork Me and Mrs Jones in 2018. Both lightly shown due to working and living in remote areas at times. Fred is now retired from stud duties but Billy is available. He excels in colour and texture, weighs 3.2 kilos and has an excellent head and correct ear carriage and ear size. Being a Covid baby he was very lightly shown but gained his title with ease (not 6 points at a time either!) with some good wins including a RUIG under a terrier specialist and BOB at 2023 Perth Royal. Not shown 2024 and now retired from showing. We are at present having a break from breeding and showing so no forseeable litters at the moment.

My affection and affiliation with yorkies came in early 2000 , when my first Yorkie arrived from Jan Clarke at Yetholme Yorkies . In time Jan became my mentor and inspired me to show them . My aim is to breed to the breeds standards as close as possible , the correct colour/texture coat, movements , temperaments. All my dogs are raised in my house with as much attention and love as possible. They go on outings with us, have play dates, curl up on our laps for movie nights and generally make themselves comfy wherever they like. I will only own as many Yorkies as I can spend time with, keep clean, healthy, active and happy. Every single puppy is also raised with daily love, care, social interaction and plenty of my time. We have puppies! Here at Smidgit yorkies we are very proud to share that we have gorgeous puppies from "Sage" (Australian Champion Smidgit Jazz it Up) and "Fizz" (Australian Grand Champion Karojenbe Pop the Corks). Born the 23rd of November 2024 the puppies will be ready to go to their new homes mid to late January. They will come with Australian National Kennel Club Pedigree papers, an information pack, a Blanket and Toy that smells like home and some food to help with their transition to their new homes. The beautiful puppies, purebred Yorkshire Terriers females and males are looking for their forever loving families. They are being house reared, warmed and will have the Certified Pedigree, microchip, DNA parenting and will be vaccinated. Both parents are Australian Champions. The puppy will be ready for adoption in the middle of February 2025.
