Having lived with and shown Whippets since 1976 , we started breeding with the 'Arjuna' Kennel name in the early 90's. From the first litter , 3 Dogs were shown , all gained their UK Stud book No's and 2 went on to win Challenge Certificates . Our First UK Champion came from the 2nd litter , not a bad average !! We moved to New Zealand in 2007 bringing 1 dog & 3 bitches with us. the girls were here for breeding purposes but we hoped 'Olli' would do OK in the ring ... He has gained his Title both here and in Australia and his progeny are following in his footsteps . Olli is now behind many of the top winning Whippets in NZ . The two boys arrived on the scene from Kana-Ka , Connor & Kaos ,both having attributes that I thought would benefit my breeding . the Boys gained their Titles quite quickly . We now have 5 Generations of Show Champions , 2 x Grand Champion and and the Only Whippet Speciality Grand Champion in NZ, they are also doing great things on the Race Track ... We aim to breed True 'Multi Purpose Whippets' - Show , Race , but Mostly much loved pets .

We have recently started breeding with the 'Waitetuna' name. Molly's (Arjuna Make Ya Moove) first litter was whelped in March 2023. Molly's litter has the genetics of a U.K imported (N.Z registered) blue whippet named Sooty Blue. This mating resulted in a litter of blue/white, blue brindle, blue fawn, black/white and black puppies. Our whippets are raised as much-loved pets on a farm and are used to deer, cattle and chickens. In the near future, we will start showing our whippets. Member since April 2021

My involvement in the Dog Show scene started in 1984 as a Child Handler, with the Dachshunds -Std Sm, Std & Mini Longs. I got my first Whippet in 1991 ~ Ch Kana-ka The Music Man, and have had them ever since. enquiries most welcome.
