Amdea Whippets & American Staffordshire Terriers is a small kennel located in the tranquil Southern Highlands of NSW. Our dogs are all part of the family and enjoy plenty of space to exercise and relax. We have been involved with American Staffordshire Terriers for several years, showing and learning from our mentors here in Australia and overseas. Fast Forward a few years and our love for Whippets has finally come to fruition. We obtained our first bitch, Calahorra NS Perfect Storm "Bronte" from Wendye Statyer. Bronte excels in Scent Work and Sprint Dog and is soon to learn Tracking. Bronte has been mated to Dachlah Man On The Moon, owned by Wendye Slatyer. We are expecting beautiful puppies towards the end of October 2024, ranging in colour from fawn, to blue brindle with solid, outgoing and friendly temperaments. Expressions of interest are being taken now for Sporting, Conformation and Companion homes for these babies. You will receive a life time of support and advice with your new puppy. Our puppies potential families will be screened and help given to choose the perfect puppy for your lifestyle. We are current members of the Whippet Club of NSW. Merrirose Whippets is located near Mittagong in the beautiful Southern Highlands, NSW. Our Whippets compete successfully in the show ring and also enjoy other activities including Lure Coursing, Obedience & Noseworks. We have proudly bred & own Best In Show, Specialty Best In Show winning Whippets, Royal Best of Breed & Multiple Best Puppy of Breed at Sydney Royal Easter Show and most importantly excellent companions.

Whippets are a breed that we love and have great delight in showing, influenced by Chasbank Kennels. We are a small select kennel in the lovely Hunter Valley, over the past 18 years we have had great delight in breeding and showing our Border collies and Aust Kelpies with great success. Now it is full time with our whippets, we have been involved in showing and breeding our whippets for the past 21years, they are family members first and show with much joy and success, looking forward to the future. If you are looking for a funny, sweet and loving dog with a slightly wild and wicked character, then we have just the dog for you. Confident, healthy, happy, outgoing Whippets assured. We don't breed for colour so please don't contact us asking for a specific colour. We breed for health and temperament and to meet the breed standard. Colour is immaterial to us and we hope, to the owners of our dogs. We aim to screen adult dogs for cardiac and eye tests and if a 'coloured' litter with a lot of white, we BAER (hearing) test. At Ridgesetter, we offer experience and are happy to mentor new exhibitors. We are both ANKC All Breed Judges; have served on several committees for Dogs NSW and have been involved with breed and all breed clubs. Currently Toni is the Hound Co-ordinator for Dogs NSW and also holds TAFE Certificates in Animal Attendants and Domestic Animal Care as well as a Delta Instructors Certificate and for several years worked in the pet care industry. Puppies are raised in our home and each litter is planned with the intent of keeping one for ourselves. As such, we grade our litters at 8 weeks and puppies are available after that. We welcome visitors to meet our dogs and answer questions on the breed. We don't breed often so drop us a line to enquire when our next litter will be. "There's no substitute for experience!"

Currently from my latest litter which were born on 21.08.24 and are available now I will have one boy and one girl available to forever loving homes on the Limited Registrar of Dog's NSW. The boy is blue brindle and white the girl is blue brindle and white both puppies have had two vaccination and miccrochipping done, Vet health checked, and wormed on a regular basis. Both puppies have outgoing personalitys and are very friendly and loving and been raised indoors. They are priced at $2000.00 and I am always happy to help out with Transport.
