Welsh Springer Spaniel Breeders, Christchurch NZ

We bought our first Welsh, Alfie (Bwgan Llwyd ar Nantlle), in 2006 in the UK. He was shortly followed by Ryan (Ch Coedybrain Ryan ar Nantlle) in 2008. Nantlle Kennels was then established. Both boys were shown at Crufts, gaining places in the breed, with Ryan a winner in the Gamekeepers classes – we worked him on a pheasant shoot each winter. We moved Alfie and Ryan to New Zealand in 2016, and Ryan’s daughter Sammy (Ch Llon Llaeth Y Gaseg ar Nantlle) joined us in 2017. We lost Alfie, then Ryan (old age) so we were joined by Kristy (Ch Bryndoain Uptown Girl) from the Bryndoain Kennels. Ryan, Sammy and Kristy have all been shown and made up to Champions. From our first litter we kept Gwenno, the offspring of Bear (Kylowen Drym, Ryan’s grandson) and Kristy. We health test all our dogs when used for breeding.
