Valleyriver Kennels has been my dream since I was a teenager and now forty years later and on the other side of the world we live on a 5 acre block with tons of room for the dogs to run around and no neighbours within sight or sound. Our dogs are first and foremost our pets, they sleep inside with us and we have rotas for the sofas! Our aim is to produce show ring quality Staffords but nothing is more important to us than temperament. We want stunning dogs with that wonderful loving nature that the breed is famous for. All our dogs are DNA tested and clear and there is no history of allergies or skin conditions in our lines. Our foundation bitch and matriarch of Valleyriver is Keira (Foxestown Catherine Ellen). She has the very best bloodlines behind her and has a sister, brother, father, uncle, grandmother, grandfather etc all Champions in the show ring. She has correct conformation and is very intelligent as well as beautiful in looks and nature. Our puppies are sold with a contract stating they are not to be used for breeding or showing. However, we can easily lift the showing restriction. Valleyriver offers lifetime support to all our puppy families. NO LONGER BREED STAFFORD BULL TERRIERS Drakon Staffords breeding reds, whites and Blue Staffords to the Stafford standard.. I started breeding Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the 1990s. All my Staffords have the sweetiest naturers and are great obedience and agility dogs. My puppies are house raised with children who give them lots of cuddles (we all need them) They come with a Full Vet health check, vaccination, microchipped wormed, de-flead and a puppy food pack and a wonderful Information booklet on raising your puppy. I have been an active Northern Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club Committee member where I have also held the Vice President position. I am qualifed in Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing and also Rural Vet Technican, which helps me to hopefully help answer any questions in regards in the healthly raising of any puppies sold from my Kennel. Puppies sometimes available for pet /show homes. DNA testing ensures that puppies will not develop Juvenile Cataracts.

We are a small family kennels. We strive to only breed to type and for good temperament. Our dogs are loved family pets before anything else. Pups are brought up inside our home not in kennels. We show as often as possible and enjoy the sport.

Boys, boys, boys! I have 2 stunning Dogs NZ registered, red (with some white) male pups in search of their forever homes. The 'black' on their coats will disappear and they will be rich red. My Kennel is in the Wairarapa and my dogs are raised in, and live in my home. My dogs are well socialized as I have an intergenerational family and other farm animals on my lifestyle block. I am privileged to only work part time around my own schedule so are usually found cuddling and playing with my grandies and fur babies! Daisy is one of the most loving gentle natured staffies that I have ever known. She is intelligent, eager to please and loves cuddles, but knows to wait her turn! Viggo is stunning in appearance, loving and obedient in nature and great with people and other animals. They have been genetically tested and clear through Orivet and have no known allergies. The boys will come with a vet check, first vaccination, be microchipped, flea treated and regularly wormed. They will have their own blankie smelling of mum and siblings, some food and an information booklet to get started, and a chew toy to make them feel at home from the get go. I think the timing is pretty spot on as they will be ready for their new homes early February after school holidays away, and with plenty of good weather ahead. TAKODA kennels NZ currently have puppies available from our recent litter born on 29 November 2024. Based in rural Rotorua since 2012, our current litter of 4 dogs and 2 bitches will be ready for new homes from Jan 24th 2025. Both sire and dam are DNA tested clear, L2hga and HC and are healthy dogs with beautiful temperaments and high trainability. Angel is the dam, a fit, healthy, funloving girl who loves asnuggle with her humans as much as she loves an adventure in the forest or a training session, especially if it involves scentwork! This is her first litter and coming from a long line of fantastic mums Angel is doing a super job and the healthy and vigorous pups are meeting all milestones bang on time. Elmo lives on rural property outside of Tokoroa with his family and enjoys running the farm, lounging on the couch and watching over the two young kids in the family. Here at Valleyriver Kennels we are expecting a litter of beautiful red puppies around the 10th January. Mum and Dad are DNA tested clear and both have clear eye certificates. Their families are known going back many generations with each mating planned carefully over the years to produce what we believe is the best combination of temperament, health and conformation. Toby (Valleyriver Taranis Gold) is everything I like in a Stafford, super health, stunning conformation and a soft snuggly nature. Gem is beautiful and very clever, she is a very loving, gentle girl. Her dad is a well known UK stud dog Pridesdale the Enforcer so she's a high tech baby. This mating has been planned since Gem and Toby were born so saying we are excited about this litter is an understatement! Brindle desexed male stafford looking for his forever home. Is that will need someone patient and good fences he’s no longer able to stay at his current home due to the family home being sold and the family moving to a property that is no longer allowing pets. Romey is a gorgeous young brindle man who will reach his second birthday in March 2025. A well mannered gentleman who is quiet, companionable and just wants to lie at your feet and go for walks, Romey is perfectly mannered with humans of all ages, female dogs and puppies, and other non-dominant males. Romey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health tested. He is certified clear by parentage of HC and L2HGA and tested clear of PHPV. He is fully lead and house trained and has wonderful manners around the house. Romey has enjoyed great success as a show dog as a youngster but we can no longer keep him due to no fault of his own. He hasn’t turned into the show prospect we had hoped and we now have too many males to ensure they all get the time and attention in our home that every stafford needs. He is a real love bug who would suit life as a beloved pet with a quiet family or older couple as he is a very relaxed character. Due to unforeseen circumstances and absolutely no fault of their own, we have 2 gorgeous girls one 6 year old and one 5 year old are searching for their forever family.
