Breeding Cattle Dogs for over 45 years; we started breeding off for station work. Then we moved to the USA & bred, trained & exhibited dogs, as well as exported all over the world. Wallaby is the breeder of BIS, agility, carting, coursing, herding, obedience, rally, tracking, weight pulling, SAR, Service Dogs, movie dogs, cancer detection, Hero Dogs, as well as much beloved companions and "best mates"! Our dogs work on dairies, in piggeries, as truck dogs, on sheep & cattle properties, as well. Truly versatile dogs that do it all! Now registered in Australia as "Wazwallaby", we continue to breed superior dogs, genetically screened to be healthy, sound animals, who will not pass on undesireable health issues to their puppies. We use all of the tools available to today's breeders in an effort to breed the most physically & mentally sound pups. We strive to breed biddable/trainable dogs who can do it all - a days work in the paddock, go hiking with you & excel in many different dog sports. Our puppies are extremely well-socialized & exposed/evaluated under a wide variety of situations & environments. This puts a superior foundation on our puppies & allows us to evaluate them so that we can help you get a puppy suitable for your needs. All puppies go with a written warranty. We offer a lifetime of support & stand behind what we breed. We will not sell anyone a puppy that we do not feel is suitable for them. We are a small kennel located in the New England district of New South Wales. The historic town of Tenterfield sits high up on the Great Dividing Range approx. 1,000 metres above sea level. Our 2 acre property is located to the north of the village, just on the edge of town. Breeding predominantly for reds, we carefully research prospective stud dogs to select those that compliment our bitches. Our breeding stock are DNA tested for hereditary diseases and all pups sold have copies of documentation to confirm these health tests. We aim to produce strong, healthy pups that are true-to-type. I have owned, trained, handled, bred and loved Australian Cattle Dogs for more than 20 years. I am a retired ANKC full panel Agility & Games Judge and currently compete at Tracking as well as in the Show ring. Heelersridge dogs have great drive, are keen to learn and are very biddable. I only have a small number of dogs, all who live as part of the family. I breed primarily for myself for the show ring, with the emphasis being on Soundness – the ability to work all day however harsh the conditions. Movement – to gait freely with the minium of up and down movement, covering the maximum amount of ground with the minimum amount of effort. Type – loss of type means loss of movement/soundness and working ability. Temperment – nervous, aggresive or highly excitable dogs can be unreliable in the show ring, in the home or in the paddock. The Standard – the blueprint of the breed. I have successfully campaigned my dogs in 6 states/territory of Australia. All dogs are PRA DNA tested or are PRA obligate free and Baer tested.

In 2016 we added an Australian Cattle Dog pup to our family as a friend and confidant for our eldest daughter. We were initially unsure how it would go mixing a working dog with our Great Danes and Toy Poodle but Lillian has fitted in like she has always been here!
