This small and selective kennel strives for soundness, quality and temperament. Est.aprox 40 years ago, we have bred and owned multiple best in show winners both from homebred and our imported stock. Shelbrae have enjoyed many showring successes including the breeding of over 50 showring champions. Leslie is a specialist sheltie judge and has judged our breed in the UK, America, New Zealand, Germany, Finland, Sweden and is off again in 2010. We breed selectively for quality rather than quantity so we only occasionally have beautiful and carefully bred puppies available, and all puppies are house reared. At Seafrey Shelties our dogs are much loved members of our family. We enjoy spending time with them walking, training (obedience, rally, agility, nose work, conformation), and just hanging out. We don't plan to breed often, but when we do breed we invest a lot of time and effort into the planning of the litter and ensuring our puppies are reared with evidence-based protocols and provided with appropriate early socialization opportunities to set them up for a life where they can realize their full potential. Our goal is to produce dogs that encapsulate everything we desire in a sheltie: temperament - dogs who are great companions, willing to work but also able to relax good health - informed by results of genetic testing, hip scores, and knowledge of the breed (kindly shared by our breed mentors) soundness - balanced, well constructed dogs built to enjoy sporting pursuits structure - elegant and graceful, with ease of movement clever - easily trained, able to problem solve confident - eager and willing to meet new people and try new things resilient - able to bounce back from setbacks with ease beauty - that soft melting expression typical of the UK type loyalty - dogs devoted to their owners longevity - we want our beloved companions to share our life as long as possible

I have been involved with Shetland Sheepdogs now for over 40 years. With limited showing and breeding, under my first prefix, Pinedel, I have bred and been successful showing and trialling my Shelties. After a break of over 13 years, in 2019, I returned to the wonderful world of the Shetland Sheepdog and I have recommenced showing and breeding this truly delightful breed. I established my new prefix RIVIERASHEL. In 2021, I was very privileged to purchase LOUANDA DOUBLE DELITE "" BARBIE "" from Karen and Sue Lishman. In 2021, Louanda Whispers In The Sand, "WHISPER" came into my life. I mated Whisper to the stunning A.Ch. Marruce The Illusionist which resulted in the arrival of my beautiful bitch RIVIERASHEL ELLE. In 2023, I repeated the mating and, my stunning young dog, RIVIERASHEL MAGIC BREW was born. I am forever grateful to my dear friends, Sue and Karen Lishman and Chris Sydenham for their friendship, support and guidance. All of my puppies are lovingly and carefully raised in my home with my family, all household noises and are very well socialised and have travelled in my car from six weeks old. My Shelties and my puppies are DNA tested for any heritable diseases, full health check by my Vet, eyes tested by a qualified Opthalmologist, vaccinated, wormed regularly and microchipped. I have welcomed a lovely big litter from my Eos and Eireann. Puppies will be ready to go home just after Christmas Litter is PLN clear by parentage.
