Imported Finnish and Russian top bloodlines. Breeding for type, soundness and temperament. Our giants have achieved Multi Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, Multi Reserve in Show, Multi Best in Group, Multi Reserve in Group, Multi Class in Group and Multi Class in Show in All Breed and Specialty championship shows. Giant Schnauzers are an alert, reliable and intelligent breed that are ideal with other dogs and children. The Giant Schnauzer has medium to high maintenance requirements for excercise and grooming as the coat does require stripping for the show dog - pets can be clipped. Giant Schnauzers require a good deal of social and mental stimulation

I first started showing in 1965 with a miniature schnauzer. My first schnauzer adopted me in 1985 and then came the giant in 1994 since then we have bred 5 Grand Champion Schnauzers the first Male & Female in the breed. Our bloodlines have started some of the top winning kennels in Australa and have produced 94 titled dogs that we know of many which are BIS BIG and Specialty winners We only breed when requiring new dogs for show or obedience over the years our dogs have been used in child handlers

Only genuine enquires for potential show dogs now being taken. We are a small breeder who are focused on quality and temperament. We are lucky to have fantastic mentors that have helped us into the breeds and who we work closely with. Although we are fairly new to our breeds we have access to some fantastic pedigrees, incorporating both imported and top local lines, from proven stock that are true to breed standard. We are striving to produce quality happy dogs that are professionals in the show ring but first and foremost loved family pets.

Here at Heisspur since 2005 our main focus has been Miniature Schnauzers. In 2015 our big old mixed breed rescue boy became a bit deaf, blind & arthritic so we decided to add a Giant Schnauzer to our clan welcoming the beautiful "Kiki". Mentored by old Ringo she is the perfect goofball guard dog. She is a proven show dog quickly becoming an Australian Champion also winning Bitch Challenge at 2017 Sydney Royal. She's also a talented sniffer reaching her Tracking Dog Title with a hat-trick. She has also done some herding and has been a very clever watchdog and guardian of our home and 30 acre property. Owning (or being owned by) any giant breed requires dedication and training. Giant Schnauzers are a very intelligent, friendly happy-go-lucky breed. Here in Australia they are in the Utility Group (Working Dog group in the USA). They were bred over many generations for a purpose, to guard and this is their natural instinct, and in their mind will be their purpose in any environment. They require dedicated training and daily exercise to keep their mind and body active. Also being a double coated breed they require regular grooming. If you are thinking of adding a Giant to your family, it is advised that you do more than just research online. Please phone breeders, go to shows, meet the dogs and spend time with them. They will become a Giant part of your family and you will be their whole world. We owe it to any dog to know what is required to give them a happy whole life

DogzOnline Advertisement Pups were born on 6 September, will have vet visit at 6 weeks for health checkup, first vaccination, microchipping, & a fit to fly certificate; being necessary for pup to fly. After which, pup will be available for collection, delivery or flight. Pups will not be allowed to depart our home until after they are 10 weeks of age. During this time if you are located reasonably close, visits can be organised, but if not, you will receive regular photos, videos & updates. I require a non-refundable deposit of $1000 to secure & hold your chosen pup. On receiving vet all clear after first vaccination the remaining amount is to be paid within 3 weeks as to have full payment 1 week prior to leaving & second C3 vaccination. Once deposit has been paid you are welcome & encouraged to to name your pup. I will treat puppy with Drontol fortnightly for worms & with Frontline weekly for ticks & fleas from 2 weeks of age. They come fully weaned; eating wet & dry solids with a small puppy pack to help them settle. I will start toilet training on fake & real grass & would have started basic puppy training with walking on a lead, ‘come’ and ‘sit’. Full breed profiles and DNA clarification have been completed on parents by Orivet and they are clear of all current know dachshund diseases. Pups and parents are available viewing in public location.
