The Saluki make ideal companions and are at home being it outside or inside, but being inside, there is always a comfortable lounge or the bed to stretch out on. The pure breeding of the Saluki can be traced back to 11000BC, and they are the aristocrats of the dog world and will fulfill their owners lives as that ideal companion. Catonam Salukis have been successfully breeding and showing Salukis for over 48 years, and just some of our wins include Multi Specialty and All Breeds Best In Show wins at Championship Show level. We only breed a litter when wanting to add to our already successful kennel. Breeding for excellence and renowned for offering puppies with fabulous attitude, characteristics and temperament. We aim always to breed for correct Saluki type, temperament and soundness and Catonam Salukis currently hold the breed record with Gr. Ch. Khamseh Inooshah winning more Saluki Specialties than any other Saluki bitch. Breeding for quality not quantity, and all of our breeding stock is hip scored, thyroid and heard tested and all health clearance certificates available upon request.
