ABOUT ME - As President of the Australian Prague Ratter Club & the country's longest-standing breeder, I have been dedicated to preserving and enhancing the breed in Australia since 2008. I am committed to the highest standards by importing top-quality Prague Ratters from the Czech Republic. I carefully source dogs from award-winning breeders to ensure health, temperament, & conformation excellence. My efforts have helped establish a strong and growing presence for the Prague Ratter in Australia. HISTORY - The Prazsky Krysarik, or Prague Ratter, is a rare breed with a history dating back to the 8th century. Originating in the Czech Republic, these dogs were once cherished by nobility & royalty, often gifted to foreign rulers as symbols of diplomacy & friendship. Initially favoured for their elegance & agility in royal courts, Prague Ratters later became popular among commoners for their rat-hunting skills. TEMPERAMENT - Known for their intelligence, ease of training, and affectionate nature, Prague Ratters are agile, quick, & display natural nobility. They are slightly reserved with strangers but incredibly loyal & friendly within their families, thriving on human companionship & involvement in daily life. Gentle, curious, and loving, they are ideal companions for all ages.

We are so excited for our next litter. Our gorgeous Nova has been confirmed in whelp with puppies due mid Janaury. Nova is a very pretty girl with lovely black and orange colouring and a beautiful character. She loves nothing more than spending time with her people. She gets on great with people and dogs. Nova has had an amazing show career, with her main highlight being awarded a National Silver Medal. She has been awarded runner up best in show, class in shows and many best of breeds both in all breeds and specialty. She was also graded excellent merit on several occasions. Nova has impeccable breeding with her Dam being Gold, Silver and Bronze National Medalist Ch Eroica Duchess Of York TD RN AZ BSCL1. Fergie is a top show dog as well as a top obedience dog with obtaining her tracking title and Rally Novice Title. Nova's Sire Is V (BSZS) Hornet Box-Dogs KKL IPO2. We were lucky enough to meet Hornet in germany and he was a very calm and friendly dog. Pups available to go to their new homes at the end of Feb. The much anticipated AI mating of Macklin Ruhe and Macklin Imaposer has produce 9 beautiful puppies, safely arriving on 24th December 2024. The litter has 5 girls (4 girls already pre-sold) and 4 boys with a mix of full black as well as Bi-Colour long stock coats. Available pups are: 3 x Boys - Black LSC, 1 x Boy Bi-Colour (Black and Tan) LSC, 1 x Girl Bi-Colour (Black and Tan) LSC The dam and sire are elbow and hip scored, with excellent temperaments. We breed for dogs that are great family companions and suitable for obedience. All of our pups are raised in our family home by a qualified dog trainer and heavily socialised with humans and trained dogs. All new families will receive a Puppy Information Booklet with records of worming & vaccinations, microchipping. and DogsNSW pedigree certificate. Interstate transport can be organised if required.

Our beautiful and successful Bernloch Caarlotta (Jarrahhaus Doomeekwik x Bernloch Wanda) has produced a stunning litter of puppies to the well known and highly awarded Aust Ch Cinderhof Diaablo (Dingo Di Casa Mary x Freinhauf Havoc). We have both a Stock Coat and a Long Coat Boy available. This mating combines many top winning lines and the puppies are looking amazing. Puppies were born 9/11/24 and are ready to go to their new homes early January. We follow the GSDCA guidelines for health testing our breeding stock. Both parents are clear of DM and other hereditary diseases. Here at Bernloch we offer healthy, well-socialized puppies that are vet-checked, had their first vaccination, microchipped and wormed every 2 weeks. Our puppies will be ready to adapt to any home and family environment, as well as dog sports and showing.
