We are a small kennel based in Melbourne where our dogs are part of our family. Our family consist of two adults, two children and three fur babies. We have been involved in the Welshie breed since 2013, but Rebecca has been around dogs all of her life. The dog breeds Rebecca has owner are Dobermans, Rough coated collies, Fox Terriers, Jack Russell terriers.

Here at Ausspring Kennels we love nothing more than to spend time with our fur babies weather that be Showing, Tracking, obedience training, bush walking or at the beach swimming. Our Welshies are first and foremost our loving and loyal companions in life.

We aim to breed Welsh Springer Spaniels with beauty, intelligence and soundness of body and temperament.

All of our dogs are health tested.

At Frecklewyn we believe that welsh springers are not just beautiful - they are also excellent dog sport competitors and all-round wonderful companions.

Our foundation bitch, Ch Mycroft My Bridie ,is currently competing successfully in Obedience and Rally, and has started training in Tracking and Retrieving. Bridie is also outstanding at demanding pats and cuddling on the lounge!

We believe that any breeding program should seek to produce dogs of excellent temperament, conformation and health. We are particularly concerned with reducing the risk of inheritable diseases, and thus ensure all relevant health tests have been done prior to breeding.

CH.Lornelane Lady on Stage has exceeded all my expectations with her achievements in the show ring and has proven her quality passing on her type and wonderful temperament to her puppies.Her daughter and grandaughter are part of the Llanrhos story and continue to show her quality. Breeding stock is hip and elbow scored and eye screened including testing for Gondiogensis.Breeding only occasionally,aiming to the breed standard, striving for excellent type and temperament for wonderful companions.

Around 2013 I decided to breed a working line of Welsh Springer Spaniels.
And time has proven these dogs and their offspring in the field, working in obedience, scent work and agility. Companion dogs whilst tramping hiking or just good quality fun house dogs .

I imported Suzie from Sylvia Brackman in Australia.
Sherman and Jaz both came from Afonderi Kennels.
All 3 dogs have proven themselves in the field and accompany me most days at work, being an invaluable part of the team. They are enthusiastic and happy hunting all day, carrying out their work with great enthusiasm, drive and scenting ability. They are excellent retrievers from land and water.
After a days work they are more than happy to kick back and enjoy a fuss in the house with the family.
Going forward with my plan I will be using Sherman and Suzie in my breeding program.

Times move on, Jaz passed on.
From our 1st Suzie and Sherman breeding we kept back a female Tully (5 yr old) , I imported another male from Mycroft kennels Bongo fury (4 yr old). Bongo did join the growing list of c
Conservation dogs.
We have bred several litters, some have gone to sporting homes, active homes- tramping, hiking etc and obedience and agility and some as companions. All have fitted in well.
We did enter a show with the dogs once and all dogs entered(Tully,Suzie,Sherman) got placed in their classes. Its not quite our cup of tea but it was fun.

The beautiful Red & White Spaniel from Wales was added to our family in mid 2009: BIS RUBISS Aust Ch Smarty Frodo des Vauriennes (Imp Netherlands) was a gift from Debbie Meagher (Goldmaid) & came to be a companion to my girls - please visit his profile in the inactive section, or on the Trenzalore or Goldmaid websites. He returned to showing as a 9 yr old neuter & successfully completed his Neuter title as a 10 yr old. He was Number 1 Neuter Gundog Qld 2014 (DOL pointscore) as well as No 1 Neuter WSS in QLD & Australia 2014. We welcomed a new welshie to the Trenzalore family in Dec 2015, a beautiful little girl "Stevie": Ricochez Gerwyn Saffir (AI), daughter of the late great Oscar (Sup Ch Shandwick Raffles) & the lovely Emily (Gr Ch Sarabande Sea Of Dreams), both UK imports.
For half of 2017 we welcomed Goldmaid Way Too Cool (AI) to our show team - another great Welshie from Debbie at Goldmaid. We had such a great time having 'Presto' on the Trenzalore team & he returned home with multiple fringies & a Championship title!!!
So given our success with 'Presto', Debbie kindly loaned us another ripping young dog 'Ziggy' Goldmaid The Game Begins for our 2018 ag show season & we also sent him home a Champion & Best of Breed Winner at the 2018 Brisbane Royal Show!

2022 sees the Red & White return to Trenzalore for a showcation in the form of Esspree Maid Of Gold - Piper, - another little girl friend for Stevie to talk Welsh with
