This beautiful Baroque silky-coated companion originated, as shown in Old Master's work, in Spain.

These dainty, affectionate little beauties were gifted within Europe's Royal courts & graced the laps of European aristocrats.
Papillons & Phalènes underwent breed consolidation in the 1500s due to French & Belgian breeders, giving us these enchanting yet robust little dogs. Internationally named Continental Toy Spaniels, they come in many beautifully shaded silky coats with Papillons exhibiting characteristic heavily fringed butterfly shaped ears. Littermates with low-set ears look more like the wings of a moth, hence the name Phalène.

We are committed to breeding from old lines dating back to the 1800s to maintain the closeness with history & culture.

My name is Jess, and this is Gracepol.
I am a small Papillon breed enthusiast located on the Limestone Coast.

The goal for Gracepol is to breed happy, healthy and versatile dogs. We plan each litter by assessing the mother (dam) on various characteristics and consider the best male (stud) to complement and improve her qualities.
Before a mating takes place, the dam is in her peak condition. She will be an appropriate age, physically fit, mentally mature, passed all health testing, and we have enough time to raise the litter.

Litters are uncommon; however, many hours are put into my puppies when we do have them. All litters are raised with Puppy Culture. Puppy Culture is a guide that helps the breeder shape puppies in their first 12 weeks of life, helping them grow into calm, confident, curious, intelligent and adaptable dogs.
Gracepol provides love and commitment to our puppies, supporting their neurological, mental and physical development. Our puppies grow up with a stimulating environment, appropriate levels of challenges, proper socialisation and fundamental skills from their first weeks of life here.

Taking expressions of interest for our litter of 4 male puppies whelped on 4/11/24. 2 black and white males 2 red sable males Sire is Ch Siljans Hurricane Connection (Imp NLD) Dam is Ch Birikino Ice And Spice At Sabelia. All puppies from Sabelia Papillons come with 2 vaccinations (C3 & C5) current health check, microchip & an extensive puppy pack with everything you need to settle your puppy into your home! Puppies will be on limited register with DogsSA not for breeding or showing but if new owner was inclined to do performance sport with their new puppy that would be a possibility. Main registration by negotiation once they have been evaluated at 8 weeks of age. Companion puppies receive a vasectomy prior to going to new homes which satisfies dog & cat management & local council requirements for desexing while keeping hormones intact for proper growth and maturity! They are raised with Puppy Culture protocols, which will help to shape them into well adjusted, even tempered & happy adults.
