The Lagotto Romagnolo, also known as the Italian truffle dog, is a rare ancient breed and is considered the foundation breed to many of today's hunting dog breeds. The Lagotto is a non-shedding, active medium-sized breed. They are very loyal to their owner/s, extremely smart, very social, and loving which makes them the perfect family companion.

Our success as a registered breeder has been with the support of our mentor breeder Duoforza and world leaders in canine reproduction Monash Veterinary Clinic headed by Dr Stuart Mason.

Our puppies are raised in a family environment and are well socialised.

Newbies on the Lagotto block but thanks to some wonderful support and mentoring by Duoforza we could not be more passionate about this wonderful breed. We were drawn to the breed when looking for an old rounder dog that suited our busy, multiple kids household. We would looking for a dog that easy to train, loves being outside, swimming, running, loves attention, didn't drop hair around the house, the Lagotto ticked all of those boxes and so many more once we fell in love with the breed.

We actively show our crew, with new comer baby Peach just hitting the ring. Our dogs are all DNA tested as well as hip and elbow scored. We will be having a litter in the coming months which will be lovingly raised with the help of all kids in the house.

Our Lagottos, Lucille & Dora, are firstly much loved house pets, secondly, we play and train in Scent Work, Agility - sometimes showing & ocassionly bred a litter.

Welcome to Luv-a-lagotto - where its all about the Lagotti !

Established in 2006 this amazing breed captured my heart and I have had the absolute pleasure of owning, loving and breeding this amazing breed since.
Full of joy , loads of quirkiness and an enormous amount of love to give, i truely am blessing to have the beautiful Lagotto Romagnolo in my life.

My dogs enjoy running ,playing , lazing about , swimming in dams and yes the occasional roll in good old horse poo, cow poo, kangaroo poo ... enjoying a great dogs life for sure.
Our puppies are inside under 24 hr watch and care, once at an age where they are looking to roam around exploring I allow them to venture into my fully enclosed puppy area with mum during the day, safe and protected they enjoy the sun and grass, a natural adjustment to the outside world, raised with love and cudfles i also start basic training to come and sit for pat, toileting on grass and handling of ears and paws to desensitize, all to make it easier for families to adjust to having a new 4legged family member.

Puppies are vet cheched, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, regisited and bred from quality blood lines DNA tested,good in hips, eyes and elbows making them a healthy robust dogs, most importantly they have beautiful loving friendly natures which makes a luv-a-lagotto puppy a wonderful addition for any family.

I am also very proud to mention , Luvalagotto Bette Davis has been titled an aust champion. Well done Bette !

In 2008, While searching for a new dog, I found the Lagotto Romagnolo and have been involved with this joyful, loving and intelligent breed ever since.

I am the proud owner of three beautiful girls, LaDinamica Pina Cattiua (Pina), LaDinamica Magdelena (Luna) and Incavale Xmas Cupid (Gianna) who come from strong blood lines.

My foundation bitch, Fiorella, has produced some beautiful pups over the years, the first to be raised on the Surf Coast of Victoria. All my girls have excellent hips scores and free of any genetic anomalies of the breed.

After a puppy drought lasting more than twelve months, we are finally once again enjoying the pitter patter of teeny lagotto paws. Most puppies are spoken for but we have three male puppies looking for forever homes, ready to leave home end of June. One is brown and the other two brown roan. They've been expertly raised to become great companions. We've been breeding lagottos for nearly two decades - our original lagotto, RiffRaff, just celebrated her 17th birthday - and we are always happy to share our extensive knowledge about the breed. We are currently taking expressions of interest for our upcoming litter of puppies expected in early August.

This litter is a long awaited pairing between our homebred roan girl, Aust Ch. Ludivine Clementine (Clemmie) and recently arrived in the country brown boy NZ Ch. Aust Ch. Glenstar Man of the World (Mac). Both parents have wonderful temperaments and are excellent examples of the breed, having successfully shown across Australia and charmed people with their sweet and approachable natures. Clemmie is the apple of our eye and Mac has been turning heads since his arrival. Both are extensively disorder tested and are healthy, happy dogs.

Our litters are raised within our home with particular care taken to ensure they are accustomed to all that family life has to offer. Using the Puppy Culture method, they are raised around children, other animals, and are exposed to a wide array of experiences to set them up for success.

The pups landed on 31/05/2024 and are currently 6 weeks old little bundles of fun and love.

Luna had a litter of 5:
3 boys:
1 x cream with orange patches
1 x choc top
1 x Brown roan
2 girls: both are brown roan like Luna.

Pups have had their 1st vaccination and microchip.
Pups are due to go to their forever homes on July 28-29th.
