Aquibella is a Sydney based Kennel run by myself, Athan Lathouras. I am a new breeder but am very lucky to be mentored by the highly regarded Judith Nolan of Incavale. My experience with Lagotto Romagnolo began in 2017 when I acquired Voltaire from Incavale. He is a well mannered white boy that I took to immediately and nicknamed Aquila because of how majestic he is. We spent many good moments together as a duo but I ultimately made the decision to add a female to our family and in 2020 Urianna was welcomed into our home, her nickname is Mirabella. She is a smaller chocolate girl with a bit more cheekiness which balanced Aquila's maturity out perfectly. In between work trips, I fulfilled all the requirements to become a registered breeder and after waiting enough time for Mirabella to grow the two of them finally mated in June of 2023. I feel very blessed to have a foundation litter of seven beautiful healthy pups and am looking forward to continuing down the path of a breeder and working to produce the best and healthiest pups possible. We are a small breeder of Lagotto Romagnolos based in Melbourne. Our aim is to breed healthy Lagottos with a great temperament and a good conformation. In our view the perfect Lagotto should be friendly and energetic with no resource guarding and it should display a great working drive. We have chosen Panda as our foundation bitch as she has the most wonderful temperament and is very smart and keen to learn. Whether you are looking for an obedience dog, tracking dog, agility dog, show dog or simply a wonderful pet then we expect our next litter to have what you are looking for. Around 7-8 weeks of age, all puppies will be temperament tested and we will match puppies to their new families to make sure they fit in the best. At this time we can also access which puppies are likely to do well in the show ring. My foundation bitch, Fiorella, has produced some beautiful pups over the years, the first to be raised on the Surf Coast of Victoria. All my girls have excellent hips scores and free of any genetic anomalies of the breed. Wispan is a small but dedicated kennel on the Sunshine Coast of Qld. I strive for excellence in my breeding by using sound stock of excellent temperament and type. I have been involved with this breed since 2009 and I am very fortunate that my foundation bitch came from Greydove Kennels and my dog from Kebro Kennels, both from imported lines. All my dogs are hip and elbow scored prior to breeding and litters are carefully planned. My dogs are companions first and foremost and showing is our hobby. Puppies are raised in our home and socialised with family and friends and adult dogs in preparation for their new families. Our standards are high, with the aim to breed healthy, sound dogs in mind and body while remaining true to type. Zelda's baby is cream with apricot markings. He's a sweet boy who loves to cuddle. Winnie's boy is shiny white with brown patches. He's a sturdy little thing with an outgoing personality. We have been blessed with some beautiful Lagotto Romagnolo, with excellent temperament, to start with them in the show ring! I am so happy with what we’ve achieved in our first few years with this breed ( we also have WHW Terriers) And now we finally have our own litter of little curly puppies from our amazing foundation bitch ‘Callie’. Born on Christmas Eve 2024. Callie is 3 and has had an exceptional career, becoming an Australian champion at 9 months, grand champion at 2 years and is also the first Lagotto to attain both her A2O and C.I.B titles!! She was Best in Show at the Lagotto Romagnolo breed specialty show, Sydney Royal in 2023 and has also won several Best in Groups, runner up Best in groups and Class in show awards. But the most important thing is that she is an absolute delight and wins hearts wherever she goes! Puppies sire ‘Ziggy’ JWW '23, EUJW'23 Aust Ch Bombadee Lucky Strike (IMP POL) arrived from Europe at the end of 2023 and also has an amazing, friendly temperament and a coat curl to to die for! We are delighted to announce the anticipated arrival of Lagotto puppies from ‘Sara’ and 'Teddy'. We currently have a white male available offering him for sale at $2500. Here at Rustufarion we are committed to the health of our breeding dogs and understand the importance this has in raising genetically healthy puppies. Our lagottos have been screened for the known and genetically testable disorders evident in the Lagotto. Screening breeding animals prior to breeding will ensure these preventable disorders do not affect your puppy from Rustufarion. Further health checks of our breeding dogs includes screening for Hip Dysplasia. We do everything possible to produce puppies with sound temperaments and confirmation and this has been factored into the selection of a suitable sire for these puppies. For this reason we also raise new born puppies in our home where they receive constant supervision, attention and interaction within a busy home. During the first weeks we focus on raising our puppies within a warm environment and commence neurological stimulation. Our puppies are pedigree registered with Dogs NSW as well as being vet checked and vaccinated, microchipped and come with 6 weeks of puppy health insurance.
