Labrador Silver Coat Colour Warning - The National Labrador Retriever Breed Council (Australia) has issued a position statement for the Silver (or Platinum / Charcoal) Coat Colour. The Labrador only has 3 recognised colours - (Black, Yellow and Liver/Chocolate).

We have been been breeding Labradors for over 25 years. All our stock have been hip and elbow scored and DNA tested. Have excellent temperaments and are a good example of the breed. Labradors have been a part of our family for over 22 years and are raised in the family environment on our property, not kennelled. We have 6 females (2 retired) and 2 males (1 retired) all with wonderful natures and conformation. They are hip and elbow scored, tested for heritable diseases with all pups being well socialized, vet checked, vaccinated , wormed, microchipped and registered on the limited or main register with Dogs Qld.

We are an established kennel and have been breeding Labradors for the past thirteen years, like many before us we fell in love with the versatility, intelligence and beauty of the breed. Our founder dog Winnie (2005-2019) and one of her puppies Rumba (2008-2020) lived a full and happy life retiring on the farm as do all our girls who are no longer breeding. We currently have four girls “Zoe” (retired), "Evey" (retired), "Boo" (black) and "Charlie" (yellow) - our girls have brought so much joy and happiness to our family. All our girls have been raised on our cattle and horse property, they shown outstanding versatility in their function as a family pet and farm dog. All our dogs are unique and have their own special personalities. As a breed the Labrador has a very playful and gentle nature and shown great natural ability and intelligence. It is for this reason we venture into the breeding of Labradors.

BAMGYPS is a place where our canines are more than “just dogs”. I breed Labradors & Chesapeake Bay Retrievers that have sought after temperaments & trainability. I have bred no trained many Assistance Dogs with puppies from each of my litters going on to be certified Assistance Dogs, and competing in dog sports. A BAMGYPS puppy is one that can be moulded into a family pet, an assistance dog, a competitor or maybe just your best friend. I myself am a trainer/assessor for Canine Helpers for the Disabled, a judge in the dog sports of obedience and retrieving. I also compete in both these area so I know what I am breeding/training and assessing.
