BAMGYPS is a place where our canines are more than “just dogs”. I breed Labradors & Chesapeake Bay Retrievers that have sought after temperaments & trainability. I have bred no trained many Assistance Dogs with puppies from each of my litters going on to be certified Assistance Dogs, and competing in dog sports. A BAMGYPS puppy is one that can be moulded into a family pet, an assistance dog, a competitor or maybe just your best friend. I myself am a trainer/assessor for Canine Helpers for the Disabled, a judge in the dog sports of obedience and retrieving. I also compete in both these area so I know what I am breeding/training and assessing.

I have been showing and Breeding Labradors for quite a number of years, having started in Brisbane and moving up North several years.
We breed for quality,soundness ,temprament and type.
All our breeding stock has been DNA for PRA, EIC and have hips/elbows exrayed.
All of our dogs are part of our family, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Andre achieved his Grand Championship at Callide Valley Show on the 15th May 2010 Judge was Mrs R Hartmire.
He won Best of Breed and Best in Group.
Andre is now retired,and only been shown in veterian section.

I am also proud of my lovely "Betty" who has joined us in late 2006 .
Is already making a mark in the show world having qualified for Zone 2 Puppy of the Year at Bundaberg on the 8th April 2007.

Our Beginnings - We are a small dedicated kennel located in Weipa, Far North Queensland, Australia. We started in Central Queensland and travelled to NQ and FNQ for shows until we moved to NQ and now FNQ. Mahelu is all about "Quality not Quantity" this is what we have strived for since starting in this breed 30 years ago.

Our Kennel - Our prefix is derived from the names of our 3 sons. Mahelu Labrador Retrievers focus on quality, soundness and type, but most of all the importance of a true Labrador temperament, drive and willingness to please. All our dogs are health tested.

Our Labradors - Are part of our family, they live in our house, join us on camping adventures & holidays. We breed for ourselves first, this means we only breed to introduce a new member into our family. The other puppies in the litter are destined to become a loyal loving Labrador in your home.

Our Dog Sports - Has included Obedience, Endurance Test, and Agility, but mainly Conformation Showing. We have had the pleasure of guiding many dogs to their Australian Championship title, whether they were our own dogs or loved by others.

Our Future - We plan to attend a limited number of confirmation shows across Australia (while on holidays), but our main aim is to love having Labrador Retrievers in our home that make for wonderful family members. As a family which has included a labrador (or three) for the last 40 years, we decided to start promoting this most loyal, versatile and loving breed by registering as breeders under the prefix Anitian. A recent mating between our lovely yellow girl Anitian Chino (Lenimer/Tenarda lines) and Razzarox Mr Stan Lee (Thornton Park/Tenarda lines) has resulted in a little box of chocolates - five girls and four boys to be exact. Chino's boasts a 0/0 hip and 0/0elbow score and is doing a wonderful job as a first time mum. Stanley is a rising star in North Queensland. At only two years old, he already has CCD, SWN and RA titles on his pedigree. He has been successful in Retrieving Ability Tests and tracking competitions. These puppies will be great ambassadors for the breed - intelligent, athletic and willing to please. Sold with open registration, DNA certified, vaccinated and health checked. Marsagan Labradors are delighted to be able to offer one very well-bred fox red (dark yellow) male pup. They need to be as a lot of my pups are placed in homes to be assistance or therapy dogs. Izzy and Manny
Tabbalu Kennels have been breeding quality dogs for over 20 years. We are committed to breeding healthy happy dogs.

Izzy and Manny are both very out-going beautiful dogs, they have a delightful character and excellent temperament. They both have excellent genetics and will produce quality puppies. Puppies will all be yellow.

Dam: Izzy (Tabbalu Idyllic Isidora) is our yellow girl, she is very affectionate and loving girl, she is very active and loves to swim and run. This will be her second litter.

Sire: Manny (Kirkdel Led Role AtDriftway) is a stunning yellow boy owned by Driftway Kennels. He is doing really well in the show ring – Accolades include: 2023 Best of breed at the Qld Ekka; 2023 Best in Open Show Labrador Retriever club of Qld; 2022, runner up best in show. All our dogs have been raised on a small farm in a family environment.
