Seafaeries has been showing and breeding top quality specialty winning show champion Labrador Retrievers for nearly forty years. In 1984 my story began in Jackson Hole, Wyoming using the prefix Blackwater. Currently located in the picturesque fishing village of Port Fairy on the south coast of Victoria Australia under the prefix Seafaeries.

We have had 4 Grand Champions including three generations of bitches. Our breeding is based on the Driftway lines as well as using one of the top stud dogs in the USA. Our two new editions are Ch Laskelsa Wild Destiny (Jai) and Ch Laskelsa Littl Diva (Georgia).
Georgia was Best of Breed at the Royal Melbourne Show, following in her mothers footsteps who won the same award 4 years earlier.

We are a small kennel breeding for temperament and working ability.

Both Kate and I are actively involved in the dog world as retrieving trial competitors and judges of retrieving trials to Championship level and retrieving ability tests.

We have been actively breeding Labrador Retrievers for over 20 years. Many of our dogs and bitches have fifteen or more generations of selection for game drive, prey drive and biddability.

Our dogs and bitches are used widely in retrieving, obedience and tracking trials. We are also working with an organisation in breeding and training dogs for service and therapy for people with a wide range of disabilities. These dogs are trained for autism therapy, epilepsy alert, aspergers syndrome therapy, post traumatic stress disorder therapy, age home service, legal court service, alziemers disease service and diabetes alert dogs..

All of our breeding dogs and bitches are tested for hip dysplasia and OCD and we aim to breed pups with hip and elbow scores better than the breed average. All of our breeding dogs and bitches are genetically profiled for the full range of diseases and traits for which genetic markers are available for the Labrador Retriever breed.

Amber has successfully mated with Scooter(Jesscott Park), and we’re excited to announce that her puppies are expected to arrive in November! Both parents show international champion bloodlines.

This mating mirrors Amber's previous one, producing again beautiful puppies with delightful, calm temperaments that make them ideal family pets. Their intelligence and gentle disposition of these future puppies will make them wonderful candidates for service and therapy dog training as well as great family pets with young children.

All puppies will be wormed, vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked. Parents have been DNA tested and hip & elbow tested.

We live on a 20 acre farm with our 3 labradors. Amber is happy, healthy, socialised and exercised. All our puppies are exposed to textures, noises, adults, children and other animals, resulting in resilient happy pups. All our pups are cuddled daily!

- Winter comes from a lineage of champions and has a friendly temperament and affectionate nature which makes her a favourite among our visitors, showcasing the wonderful temperament that Labradors are known for. Pippa and Scooter welcomed a litter of 7 gorgeous pups on 27 August 2024.
We still have two beautiful pups who are 8 weeks old and ready new homes now.
Both parents are all clear on DNA testing, which means all pups will also be all clear. Both parents have well below average hips and elbow scores.
Pippa is a beautiful placid and gentle girl with great manners and one of the best mums I have had.
Scooter is a handsome redfox boy with a great drive and wonderful off switch. He has sired both assistance and education support dogs as well as very talented retrieving trial dogs.
We still have both boys and girls available from this repeat breeding, ranging from cream to redish.
Pups will come with a two great two puppy packs, one with pedigree, DNA and hips and elbow of parents; as well as information on puppy. The second puppy pack contains, a piece of fleece pups have had since birth, a toy, worming tablets for 10 and 12 weeks, a harness, collar, lead and seat belt clip for the car; some chew toys and treats.
We also send out information sheets on worming, feeding, crate training etc to give pup the best start with you.
Pups will come with Australian Kennel Club registration papers, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed. We are always happy to take questions both before and after pup goes to you.
