Waytogame Labrador Retrievers is a family-based kennel located in Canberra. We proudly support a line of pure bred Labrador Retrievers backed by generations of selective breeding. We breed true type, healthy labs with a great temperament that make them an excellent family dog and lifelong companion.

Since 2002, Heather had successfully trained and titled her Labradors in the show ring as well as in dog sports - obedience trialling, rally obedience, and agility. She has also enjoyed training and competing in tracking and the retrieving ability test for gundogs. Heather is a life member and volunteer at Canberra’s oldest dog training club. In 2004 she qualified as an instructor and instructs all levels of behaviour training at the Club. As a strong supporter of modern, positive motivation training all her dogs are raised using force free, rewards-based training methods.

Our dogs are DNA tested, hip and elbow x-rayed and eyes are certified. Copies of health papers are available on request. Our dogs will only be placed into suitable ‘forever’ homes where they are going to be loved, trained, and cared for all their life. Potential owners need to be prepared to provide information about their home and family life before we agree to home one of our Waytogame Labradorable puppies with them.

We are pleased to announce that Phoebe has had a litter of 9 puppies, whelped on the 22nd of October. The litter consists of 2 yellow puppies, 1 dog and 1 bitch, and 6 black puppies, 4 dogs and 2 bitches.

The dam and sire are health tested (with good results). This includes hip and elbow scores, annual eye certificates, and full DNA testing. Copies of these health test results are available if requested, and copies given to all new owners. Puppies are registered with DogsNZ (formerly NZKC) in their new owner's name.

We choose families for our puppies based on their knowledge of Labrador needs, and the home and love they can provide. We are proud of our puppies, and open to discussions about removing some breeding restrictions for informed labrador breeders.

These puppies will be ready for their new homes on the 17th of December. Please note that we never sell puppies as Christmas presents (never - no exceptions). Please also be aware that there will be an extra daily charge for puppies when we are asked to look after them after the 26th of December.

Pippa and Scooter welcomed a litter of 7 gorgeous pups on 27 August 2024.
We still have two beautiful pups who are 8 weeks old and ready new homes now.
Both parents are all clear on DNA testing, which means all pups will also be all clear. Both parents have well below average hips and elbow scores.
Pippa is a beautiful placid and gentle girl with great manners and one of the best mums I have had.
Scooter is a handsome redfox boy with a great drive and wonderful off switch. He has sired both assistance and education support dogs as well as very talented retrieving trial dogs.
We still have both boys and girls available from this repeat breeding, ranging from cream to redish.
Pups will come with a two great two puppy packs, one with pedigree, DNA and hips and elbow of parents; as well as information on puppy. The second puppy pack contains, a piece of fleece pups have had since birth, a toy, worming tablets for 10 and 12 weeks, a harness, collar, lead and seat belt clip for the car; some chew toys and treats.
We also send out information sheets on worming, feeding, crate training etc to give pup the best start with you.
Pups will come with Australian Kennel Club registration papers, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed. We are always happy to take questions both before and after pup goes to you.
