Our Labradors live as one big happy family on 100 acres in the Hunter Valley of NSW, 2 hours north of Sydney.They have 2 kilometers of the Paterson River to swim in and lots of different types of terrain and bush to explore. We show our dogs when time permits and have been very successful, having bred more than 30 Australian Champions but first and foremost our dogs are part of our family and their happiness is more important to us than any show success. We have been breeding our Labs since 1979 and have many generations of consistently beautiful Labs (especially beautiful faces) with great temperaments, soundness and good breed type. We have hip and elbow scored from our first litter (with excellent results) and DNA tested for PRA and EIC since the tests first became available. Our puppies are raised in the house for at least the first 6 weeks. Some of the dogs we have bred have become Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and Therapy dogs and our puppies have appeared in various TV commercials, such as Kleenex ones. We really enjoy our puppy clients keeping in touch with us and hearing of the happiness that our Labs bring to their families.

We are a small family based breeder located in the Northern Rivers district of NSW Australia with the goal of breading extremely healthy dogs to the highest breed standards while maintaining that winning temperament, loyalty and intelligence that has made the Labrador Retriever one of the most popular dog breeds in the world. As a dedicated breeder who is trying to reduce the presence of hereditary diseases that can occur in Labrador Retrievers all of our Dogs and Bitches are X-rayed and scored for hips & elbow dysplasia and either hold certificates or are clear through lineage for Exercised Induced Collapse (ECI) and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). While some puppies are selected for the show-ring most are carefully matched with new families dependant on each puppies individual personalities and activity levels. Our puppies are raised in a family environment and are well socialised from a young age with other dogs and children. Due to their regular interaction with our family and guests they are desensitised to human touch and many noises. All our dogs and puppies are health tested regularly, vaccinated,wormed, microchiped and come with pedegree papers under our Registered prefix "Alforare" with Dogs NSW. I do not breed Labradors at this stage in life. My Labradors come from Pauline Gill Tapua Labradors. After not having owned a Labrador for nearly 25 years. I have finally succumbed and purchased 'Luther' - Banderra Lord Basil. A sweet tempered black dog with, I believe, a lot of potential. He has been shown by everyone else as the breed seems to always clash with my other breed Schipperkes. He managed 4th place at the Labrador National 2012 at his first show as a 3 month old puppy, shown by me. He was Baby in Group under Gundog specialist W Crozier in July 2012, and on 12 August his last day in Baby he was again Baby in group in the ACT under Mrs J Keenan (Vic)shown by me. Up with the big boys, now. A delight to live with, amenable, trainable loves everyone. Thanks to Sue Richards for entrusting him to me. He became a champion very easily and now enjoys watching from the side lines while his smaller mates do their thing. Lara came to live with us in 2014 Tapua Dream Maker she was quick to get nearly 100 points. But she loves her food and after Pauline and Peter saw how fat she was has gone to Hitler camp to get trimmed down and those final 13 points. Of course she got those final points and is champion "Lara Bingle".Retriever mad loves the water. She should produce fantastic retrieving and working puppies. Oh she is black as well.

We are devastated to have to do this, but due to moving house we need to downsize our beautiful labrador family. Our beautiful Jodie is 7 years old and daughter Madison is 5.
