I have been involved in Terriers since 1972. I mainly breed Irish Terriers but over the years have been involved in many other breeds in the Group. I judge the Terrier Group and the Hound Group. I have been involved with Irish Terriers for nearly 20 years and think they are the most wonderful breed ever! They are an energetic, fun loving dog that love people's company, especially children. They love to exercise and play but also can be quite content just laying in the sun. They are a healthy breed with a weatherproof coat and can live indoors or out. They have a gentle nature but are true Terriers when the situation warrants it. My pups are house raised and come from parents with wonderful natures. I have been quite successful with showing my dogs, winning Melbourne Royal with 3 of them. My dog, D'arcy is Australia's First Supreme Champion of the breed and his nature makes him a wonderful ambassador for the breed. I am always happy to talk to anyone about these dogs.

My experience has been only short showing and breeding Irish Terriers but every day my family fall more and more in love with the breed, you will too.

As soon as you welcome an Irish Terrier into your life, you are bound to fall in love. My husband and I did, with our first Irish, Rufus, (from Roismar Kennels) back over a decade ago. When he left our lives, we were inspired to get more involved with the breed. Over the past few years I have been extremely fortunate to be mentored by Pam Gerrey from Tawnyoak, have got involved in dog shows (which was more fun than I thought).
How to best describe what it’s like living with an Irish Terrier? They are loving but irrepressibly cheeky. They are energetic, but also enjoy a cuddle. They are mischievous and make you laugh every day. Anyone I have ever met who has owned an Irish always smile in delight at their memories of their dogs. They are the best dogs.
