I am a small family based kennel where all My dogs live as part of the family. I aim to breed Goldens which excel in temperament and type. I have been breeding since 1992 and have excelled in obedience with our goldens. One of which being champion golden retriever of 1996-97,also flyball champion. I continue to breed Goldens to achieve a great family companion.
As a qualified dog trainer I take a lot of time and pride in rearing my puppies with 'Puppy Culture training system with our litters for the first 8 weeks, so you will be getting a pup that is 80% toilet trained, has great fear response to new situations, is well socialise to sight, sounds, surfaces, smells, different people & ages, will sit for food etc.
Although, I cannot guarantee they will all be 100% on board with the training, there is always 1 class clown.

All my dogs hold certificates for hip & elbowX-rays ,eye & heart testing, along with DNA testing for parentage,ICT-A and PRA1 & PRA2.

Rhycas Golden is a small kennel where our dogs are part of our family. They live indoors with us and are not left alone for long periods of time.
Our pups are handled from birth and are well socialized and played with. They are regularly wormed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and on the limited register with Dogs Victoria.

Our beautiful two year old girl ‘Pudding’ is due to welcome her first litter of puppies on 1st September 2023. Puppies will therefore be ready for their forever homes around 27th October 2023.

The sire is three year old Meshkhent Jumpin Jack Flash. Jack was recently awarded Dog’s Victoria’s 2023 Obedience - Dog of Year (across all breeds in the Community Companion Dog Class).

Both dogs are sweet/gentle, loving, cheeky and smart. Both have been scored for hips and elbows, have been DNA tested and have clear eye and heart certificates.

The puppies will be raised around my two children (9 and 11 years old) and two other family dogs (in addition to mum). The puppies will be raised both inside and outside the house and will be well socialised. Their diet will comprise of fresh meat, veggies and rice and as they get a little older Royal Canin Golden Retriever Puppy kibble will be introduced.

Puppies will go to their forever homes up to date with their worming schedule, 6 week immunisations, microchipped and vet checked, blanket with mum’s scent, 6 weeks free pet insurance, Royal Canin Golden Retriever puppy kibble and Jane Hodges book “an Australian guide to Buying and Raising a Happy Healthy Golden Retriever Puppy”.
