Est. 2001. My dogs are family first and foremost but we are often found at Conformation shows, Rally O competitions or Scent work trials around the South Island in the weekends. All breeding's are thoroughly researched and I only breed when I want to keep something for myself. Health and temperament of puppies produced is paramount when planning a litter. Parents are fully health tested (Hips/Elbows, eyes, heart, and full DNA panel as a minimum). I only breed occasionally, one litter every 4-5 years. Having worked in Gundog Rescue and rehabilitation for over 12 years in Germany and Southern Europe as well as over 10 years in dog rescue here in NZ, I feel my time has come to focus on healthy, mentally stable and well balanced dogs that are easy to train and a pleasure to live with. That's how Loewenburg Kennels was born. Our GSP' puppies are handled from birth and raised on the US service dog curriculum. This will ensure calm dogs at home and at work with a focused mind and eager to please attitude.
