Germanicus Kennels whelped their first litter of puppies in March 1973. We are expecting our 2nd litter of puppies at the end of November. Mum is the beautiful Ch Germanicus NeverSay NeverAgain (Ai) and dad, Aust Ch Germanicus At Gunpoint. Having 2 beautiful Supreme Champions, 2 Grand Champions and several Australian and Dual Champions in our small team of GSP's I couldn't be prouder as a breeder. Temperament, true conformation & biddable GSP's is my breeding aim. WHEN TEMPERAMENT MATTERS, our dogs have even temperaments, wonderful natures and are brought up with children (12 & 14) and in a family environment. Our stud dogs and bitches are hip & elbow scored. We are a small kennel located in the Hawkesbury area of NSW and have been involved with GSPs for over 40 years. Dogs we have bred have been successful in the show ring, obedience, tracking, Rally, scent work and various other dog sports. Our puppies are raised in a happy, loving environment, they have lots of time in the house, running on our acreage and are well socialised. All our puppies are health checked, microchipped, vaccinated and are fed on Advance dog food. We have had a long friendship with Moya and Rob Howarth of Seltsam Kennels and thank them for all their support and guidance. We have also been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to import semen from Barleyarch Kennels in the UK and thank Sue and Martin Harris for their kindness in allowing some of their "boys" to come to us in Australia. Fenrik German Shorthaired Pointers have the backing of 50 years experience in the breed - in the obedience ring, show ring, retrieving/gundog trials and, over the last 25 years, in agility trials. Sound healthy dogs and temperaments are necessary. Our dogs are superb athletes who compete at the highest level in agility. They love to train and play with us, and yet, happy to lounge around and relax when it is not play time. Ideal family pets for the active family, great with kids and easy to care for. As a vet we give our pups the best start to a long and healthy life. As dog trainers, we know the importance of the early weeks of up bringing to create a cheeky outgoing confident pup that is unlikely to have behavioural issues. We have just the one beautiful black puppy looking for his new family. He is gentle, outgoing, confident and playful. We have been breeding our beautiful type of elegant GSP for more than 50 years. We compete in dogs sports to prove our dogs’ soundness, intelligence and more importantly their temperament and trainability. Our litters have many generations of breeding lines that have been exceptionally successful competing in many of the dog sports. Because we are dog trainers, we pay special attention to socialisation, frequent handling, exploring different environments and varied experiences to ensure a confident, friendly, outgoing nature. Pups are raised to encourage easy house training, not to jump all over you and wants to come when called. As a vet I ensure the best healthy start to life. Pups are wormed, heart worm prevention started, micro-chipped and vaccinated. They are kept at correct lean weight to minimise future joint problems. We give full follow up, and love to keep in touch with our pups, including a Facebook group for our owners where we continue to publish photos, news and advice.
