CENTAINE was established 1980 and we pride ourselves on sound, healthy dogs with exceptional temperaments.

I have been actively involved in all aspects of this wonderful breed for over 35 years including showing, obedience and Gundog work.
I am a life member of The GSP Society of NSW Inc. as well as being involved in many clubs. I have had the pleasure of designing logos and the like for many clubs over the years, including DOGS NSW, ANKC and Golden Retriever Clubs throughout Australia.

All our dogs are hip and elbow scored and health tested.
While we only breed sparingly, we are very passionate about our how our puppies are raised and trained. I have been very fortunate over the years to know others who have taught me well and shared their knowledge and experience with me.
I know I will continue to be mindful of the health, temperament and well being of my dogs and those I breed as well as continuing to enjoy showing and competing in other disciplines.

WHAT - We are committed to breeding healthy dogs with sound temperaments.
HOW - Breeding takes place in our home, puppies are raised with our children and other dogs.

Animal welfare is always our primary consideration. All dogs used in our breeding program have full DNA screening, hip & elbows exams, vet exams before breeding. Our dogs are from some of the most established GSP kennels in Australia. With a combination of Show Champions, Field Champions, and hunting lines.

We breed to produce dogs that are:

2. have a warm and loving temperament as a GSP should
3. fun and intelligent
4. maintain their innate drive as a gun dog.

Our puppies are sold on the ANKC limited register.

We believe GSPs should both look good in the show ring and perform in the field. We are currently working towards a Duel Champion titles for all our dogs.

Germanicus Kennels whelped their first litter of puppies in March 1973. We are expecting our 2nd litter of puppies at the end of November. Mum is the beautiful Ch Germanicus NeverSay NeverAgain (Ai) and dad, Aust Ch Germanicus At Gunpoint. Having 2 beautiful Supreme Champions, 2 Grand Champions and several Australian and Dual Champions in our small team of GSP's I couldn't be prouder as a breeder. Our passion for this breed began in 1975 with Peter's first cross country running and shooting mate.

From the beginning, we have maintained correct breed type and function - noble appearance, sound structure and versatility with reliable, biddable natures - by combining bloodlines from Germany, North America, England and Australia with show champions and working titled dogs in every pedigree. We started with dogs from Australia's leading kennels sired by imports with versatile backgrounds. Since then, we have traveled overseas extensively to personally select ALL our own imports and broaden the gene pool.

Pointmore Deutsch Kurzhaar (German Shorthaired Pointer)

I have been associated with the breed since 1988.
My Kennel is made up of Australian, German, Serbian and Cyprian Bloodlines with the an emphasis on breeding with performance dogs.

Our next litters are due in Spring,2024.
Two very exciting litters from full German and Serbian bloodlines. The pups from the bitches first litters were amazing and gone on to be wonderful working dogs and amazing family GSP’s.
We breed for temperament, working ability in the Field and Competition. To have a dog that will perform in the Field for a long time, it must have excellent conformation.

My bitches and Sires are DNA tested, Hip and elbow Scored and live a wonderful life on our small farm near Tamworth NSW. The dogs regularly compete in retrieving Trials, Field Trials and hunt fur and feather in various locations in NSW, Qld and Victoria.

As well as that, the dogs are family dogs, socializing with kids, horses, and poultry on the farm. They are fit and swim everyday. They are amazing swimmers.

We have just the one beautiful black puppy looking for his new family. He is gentle, outgoing, confident and playful.

We have been breeding our beautiful type of elegant GSP for more than 50 years. We compete in dogs sports to prove our dogs’ soundness, intelligence and more importantly their temperament and trainability. Our litters have many generations of breeding lines that have been exceptionally successful competing in many of the dog sports.

Because we are dog trainers, we pay special attention to socialisation, frequent handling, exploring different environments and varied experiences to ensure a confident, friendly, outgoing nature. Pups are raised to encourage easy house training, not to jump all over you and wants to come when called.

As a vet I ensure the best healthy start to life. Pups are wormed, heart worm prevention started, micro-chipped and vaccinated. They are kept at correct lean weight to minimise future joint problems.

We give full follow up, and love to keep in touch with our pups, including a Facebook group for our owners where we continue to publish photos, news and advice.
