Taniwha kennels has evolved into Tetaniwha kennels in Victoria. With traditional English Springer Spaniels that love cuddling up in bed, going for a run or winning in the show ring.
Our foundation English Springer Spaniels from traditional English lines with pedigrees of numerous Champions, Grand and Supreme. The strength of the past will show in our current and future generations.

Our selections for breeding are made on strict criteria as we breed for a certain type and temperament.

Thornfield are delighted to announce the availability of 2 male and 2 female pure-bred and pedigreed working line (aka field-bred) English Springer Spaniel puppies. As a responsible ANKC (Dogs Victoria) registered breeder, we only breed occasionally and will not have puppies again for at least 2 years. Sire, Bentley (Wrangham Hit The Road Jack) and Dam, Willow (Thornfield Willow Tree Gin) have lovely temperaments and plenty of drive. Our puppies are best suited to sports, working or active family homes.
Our puppies are raised in an enriched indoor/outdoor environment with great consideration given to early neurological stimulation, socialisation with adults, children, mature dogs, cats and chickens, sound desensitisation, exposure to unusual surfaces and objects, olfactory and tactile stimulation, regular nail trimming and daily handling in addition to excellent health, diet and general care. We take a great deal of pride in raising confident, healthy pups!
All puppies are clear for Autosomal Hereditary Recessive Nephropathy, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 - PRA, Fucosidosis and Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency) and Willow has been hip and elbow scored. Pups come with ANKC limited registration, 1st and 2nd vaccinations, microchip, worming, a health check by a veterinarian and a Thornfield Puppy Pack detailing all this plus information on feeding, health and training.

We have available a couple of “started puppies”.
These pups have been ‘run on’ so that we can assess the breeding and what characteristics have been inherited from the parents. We are thrilled with the outcome of this mating and have decided to retain several pups for ourselves.
Unfortunately, we can’t keep them all, so we have a couple of dog pups available to the right homes.
They are currently 4 months old and have commenced their basic training, walking on the lead, sitting, staying, and most importantly coming when called.
Alongside the basic training they have been introduced to rabbits and birds, different terrain, and water.
All the pups are keenly working rabbit scent and finding the joy of using their noses. True working spaniels as one would expect from Glastonpark.
Bred for temperament, working ability and biddability they would suit either a working home or as a lovely companion for country walks.

We are excited to announce our beautiful Puzzle had 11 healthy pups! (Working line) She is doing an amazing job and the pups are all growing well. They are 4 weeks old and looking for there homes (can leave once 8weeks old).
