We are only a small kennel and have been involved with the English Springer Spaniel breed since 1999. We started showing as a hobby and for the love of the breed. We do not breed often and only use stock with super temperaments, conformation and good health. All our dogs are health checked through DNA testing, Hip/Elbow scoring and are physically checked annually by a Specialist Canine Ophthalmologist.. Genuine enquiries are always welcome. We have a beautiful litter of working (field) Springer Spaniel pups, liver and white. Born 3 February 2024.

Springer spaniels are highly intelligent, super friendly, extremely playful, fantastic with kids and very easy to train. They are low shed, with no professional grooming required.

Our puppies are being raised with children and are very well socialised with kids, adults and other dogs. They are being regularly taken out on walks and to dog parks, the bush and different environments. They love swimming in the river.

The puppies are from exceptional working lines:
Dam - LANCSPRIDE CRUMPET (Meeka) sired by (Kenny) owned by Ben Harding of Archaway Spaniels.
Sire - PENDARAN CHELAN OF EDGEGROVE imported from the UK (Logan) owned by Patrick Torrens of Rosstulla Gundogs.

Both parents have been DNA tested and are clear of common spaniel disorders including PRA Cord1 and Fucosidosis. Puppies have been health checked, micro-chipped, wormed and vaccinated up to date. Their eyes/retina have also been tested and are all clear.

Thornfield are delighted to announce the availability of 2 male and 2 female pure-bred and pedigreed working line (aka field-bred) English Springer Spaniel puppies. As a responsible ANKC (Dogs Victoria) registered breeder, we only breed occasionally and will not have puppies again for at least 2 years. Sire, Bentley (Wrangham Hit The Road Jack) and Dam, Willow (Thornfield Willow Tree Gin) have lovely temperaments and plenty of drive. Our puppies are best suited to sports, working or active family homes.

Our puppies are raised in an enriched indoor/outdoor environment with great consideration given to early neurological stimulation, socialisation with adults, children, mature dogs, cats and chickens, sound desensitisation, exposure to unusual surfaces and objects, olfactory and tactile stimulation, regular nail trimming and daily handling in addition to excellent health, diet and general care. We take a great deal of pride in raising confident, healthy pups!

All puppies are clear for Autosomal Hereditary Recessive Nephropathy, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 - PRA, Fucosidosis and Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency) and Willow has been hip and elbow scored. Pups come with ANKC limited registration, 1st and 2nd vaccinations, microchip, worming, a health check by a veterinarian and a Thornfield Puppy Pack detailing all this plus information on feeding, health and training.
