Gentle, easygoing, and affectionate, we believe English Setters are an incredible and versatile breed that deserves more recognition!

We're a very small hobby breeder and exhibitor in the Eastern Suburbs, VIC. We aim to produce exceptional Setters that slot into almost any home as the quintessential 'gentleman's breed.' We show semi-regularly and always breed first for our home and show team.

Whimsily Setters are raised with Puppy Culture protocols, hip-scored, BAER tested, and DNA tested. We are more than happy to chat with interested people about the breed or our dogs. Show puppies are occasionally offered when available, and we are always keen to mentor new exhibitors.

We expect a litter in October 2024.

I am a Passionate Dog man and work my dogs I have had great success with my pointers over the years I have imported many working Pointers from around the world that share the very best working lines I have also sent a few back overseas and they have also reached great heights for the breed .
I have also imported a Setter , he is a beautiful dog of full Italian blood , I love this dog so much that I am now on a mission to import more Setters for our small gene pool here in Australia I have done a mating doubling up on my imported dog Poker ,,Poker is a super dog that just wants to please , working with Poker in the field has been a dream and has made me fall in love with this breed his offspring are showing the same traits . We’re thrilled to announce we have a confirmed litter whelped on the 8th of October. This will be our last litter until at least 2026. At Whimsily, our aims are to breed for health, temperament and to preserve the beautiful English Setter breed. Our dogs are thoroughly health tested, including hip scores, DNA testing and BAER testing. Our puppies are raised with Puppy Culture to help them reach their full potential as balanced, resilient future dogs. They’ve been exposed to baths, blow drying, clippers and regular nail trims to set them up for grooming in the future. Whimsily puppies come home with: - Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) Pedigree - Microchipped - Wormed - Their first two vaccinations - BAER (hearing) tested - Lifetime support from us! - A puppy pack with food, grooming tools and an information booklet. Puppies come registered with Dogs Victoria on the limited registry, which means they cannot be bred from or shown. Owners are required to sign a contract that any puppy on the limited registry will not be bred from. When show-quality puppies are available, expressions of interest will be taken from genuine show people interested in exhibiting.
