Curly Coated Retriever Breeders, WA

Since our introduction to the breed in 1992, Curlies have become a big part of our family. We aim to maintain the multi purpose abilities of the breed with our dogs having roles as working gundogs,conformation show dogs, obedience/agility competitors, therapy dogs and loyal family pets. Our puppies are raised in a home environment on a rural property on the Kapiti coast. We only breed very selectively and for ourselves so puppies may occasionally be available to the right homes. Previously Teandjah Kennels. We have recently started breeding and showing Curly Coated Retrievers again. We have been involved with the breed for over 20 years both in the show ring and obedience. Even during our 10 year break we have always had Curly Coated Retrievers as part of our family. All of our curlies have wonderful temperaments and are very happy to be around people and will make great family pets. We believe that our curlies should be sound and of good substance and suitable for all types of homes. They should also have a suitable coat that belies their name. Our dogs have good hip scores and are DNA tested for genetic diseases like PRA & EIC. We are situated approx. 1 hour north east of Adelaide. Our dogs are well socialised and interact well with people and other dogs.

We are a small kennel in the Esk area in Queensland. Our dogs are hip scored and DNA tested for PRA and EIC prior to breeding. We live on a rural property with horses, our dogs are very good with other animals.

We live right on the Murray River in Echuca so our curlies are in the perfect environment for their true love of swimming, retrieving, hunting and being in the open outdoors. Curlies are great, loyal and loving dogs that aim to please their owners in whatever way that is asked of them, from Showing, Obedience, Tracking, Agility, Hunting, Trialing or just curling up on the couch with their owners. Our dogs are raised in a family environment so they are socially acceptable in any situation. Expected litter in October, seeking puppy enquiries.

Curlbrook is a small family run kennel and our involvement with, love for and pomotion of this special breed spans many decades. Whilst Curlbrook has enjoyed success in a variety of activities (showing/field/obedience etc) the most memorable moments have been at home in the dam, paddocks or on the couch. We have been blessed to share our life with some extraordinary curlies. Our breeding program aims at producing the best possible representation of this unique breed, by producing curlies which have good temperaments and soundness ensuring they are capable of any task set for them, whether it be showing/obedience/hunting/or more importantly fitting right into family life. We have 1 female puppy available for the right family. Curlbrook Purple Diamond - Indigo (Indi for short) is a delightful little girl with an outgoing personality.
