Billand Kennels was established in the 1950s by Billie Holland. We have been exhibiting the Smooth Collie since 2002. We have bred and owned numerous Champions across various breeds, successfully competed in Junior Handlers, trained and titled dogs in Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Herding and Dancing With Dogs. Denise is a qualified judge for Dances with Dogs and Tricks. Tania and Kimberly are approved to judge Junior Handlers. We have no litters planned for 2023.

VEDAMEA Smooth Collies are professional breeders, established in 1979 and reared on five acres of lush green paddocks at the foot of the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, Australia. Now calling the stunning 7 mile beaches of Lake Cathie on the NSW Mid North Coast out home; our Collies run free with lots of fresh air and sunshine and pristine coastal landscapes to bound around in a happy and well-adjusted lifestyle. A wholesome natural diet produces sound and healthy animals. Our experience and appreciation for the value of a true working dog is linked to our strong rural roots. Although most breeds today are not required to work as such, we believe retaining this working ability is essential to produce Collies suitable as show dogs, for obedience or just simply good companions - healthy in body and spirit. The Collie has an aesthetic value shared by few other breeds. They are always willing to please with wonderful temperaments and a great desire to be with you. They are wonderful dogs for almost anyone. Vedamea Collies has a small, responsible breeding program reflecting our commitment to relevant testing. We have imported numerous quality Collies over the years to infuse into our breeding program, ensuring not only improvement of breed type, but also the introduction of new bloodlines ensures continued good health to our lovely breed.

We will not be breeding any more of the Smooth variety at this stage but any queries about the Smooth Collie please feel free to email us. We are primarily a rough collie kennel but a smooth collie was added to our kennel in 2003 when Ch Golden Ambition of Glenrere (Amber) came to us. Now we delight in having both varieties. A lovely sable girl who was a delight to have. Maybe in the future we will once again have a smooth in our kennel.

We welcome 6 cute Shiba pups on 30th November 2024 . This is our last litter in 2024 . They are from Pie ( dad ) and Nina ( mom ) . Pups will ready for new home after 26th January. We have 3 red boys and 3 red girls . Both Pie and Nina are imported. They are super sweet with great personalities, well socialized with all size dogs, cats , horses , farm animals and kids . We will do the same early socialization with all our pups . They will get used to public entertainment and grooming as well . All our dogs living in our home with us not in outside kennels . They live like family pet .
