Taking reservations now for the litter of eight born 19/05/24 We are responsible for introducing the very first Central Asian Ovcharka to Australia in 1995. Legendary Khottab (imp Kazakhstan) arrived to Sydney in May 1995 as part of our family after extensive and difficult quarantine period in Finland. In a couple of years we had to travel back to bring a suitable partner for Khottab. Lusha the first CAO female to enter Australia was the daughter of another legend - Turkmen-born Karagez. Together they produced two litters to make foundation for the future authentic and robust population. In the next two decades we followed up with several other high genetic value imports from the country of origin, searching and selecting carefully for specific type with the aim of preserving the original old working bloodlines and authentic traits we have always admired in this breed. Today, after several generations our dogs are characterized by the same physical and mental soundness, longevity, hardiness, independent problem solving skill, strong guardian instinct and unique gentle nurturing ability of a natural livestock guardian. They make exceptional companions for specific types of people, reliable livestock/farm guardians for intelligent farmers and look most impressive at show ring with experienced handlers who are able and willing to understand and respect their nature.

I have been guardian to the Central Asian Shepherd Dog (CAS) for approx 20 years. I have owned three of these beautiful girls and all have shown instinctive guarding qualities with the calmness required for their humans and charges alike. Our CAS are registered with ANKC/FCI. All my the girls achieved their shoe ring championship and all of them participated in obedience classes and some rally instruction. The breed is very intelligent and their flexibility means these activities are very easy for them, given their size. The CAS are a warm and loving member of the family but is a naturally suspicious breed so socialisation with regular visitors is a must. Even then it may be required for them to be placed in their safe place, an area away from the excitement. CAS are a livestock guardian, once you introduce and "train" them to protect your animals you can be secure in knowing they will be safe from predators.
