Narbrisse - located in Adelaide - is a top Briard kennel in Australia. Liz Bennett has been proudly breeding and campaigning Briards continuously for 44 years and her current dogs are a successful and carefully selected combination of leading UK, European and Australian bloodlines. Liz has a number of highly titled Briards. Prior to the COVID-19 hiatus, Narbrisse was campaigning up to 10 show Briards with several regularly attracting awards. Since March 2020, opportunities to campaign dogs have been far more limited and challenging with so many travel restrictions and show cancellations. Notwithstanding this, we are currently campaigning three very promising Briards. All Narbrisse breeding stock are hip scored and CSNB tested to ensure we maintain soundness in our bloodlines. In recognition of the historical “working” ethic and purpose of the breed, we strive to maintain this through careful and planned breeding. Narbrisse has imported a number of quality Briards to complement and enhance the breed's bloodlines in Australia. When we have Briard puppies available we check to ensure the new owners understand the breed and have an appropriate set-up to welcome their new dog and we maintain an on-going interest in all Briards we place elsewhere – whether in a pet home, or as show dogs. As I am what you would call a newbie to this breed it does not mean that prior to purchasing my first Briard that there wasn't much study involved... 5 years later here we are. Funnily enough I was wanting a Light Fawn Bitch.....I ended up with a Black Dog, my now stunning Au Ch Oscar de la Manoliere (imp France). I had my fawn bitch on order when I was asked would I possibly be interested in a black dog knowing that I was wanting to show......not really was my initial response.....Now its history!! Since then I now have my Light Fawn Bitch thanks to Gav Haussmann from Aubrey Briards in New Zealand...Aubrey's Blonde Bombshell aka Hunni.(halfway to her Au Ch) title with very limited showing. I now have her son from her first litter as well Adam Trahlahlah Simply the Best!! A fawn stunner to say the least!!! Ms Hunni has had New Years Day 2024 2 fawn Boys and 5 gorgeous Black Girls dad is Mervaille Exquis Django son of the extremely well known Sel. Marco Polo du Coeur des Trésors a stunning Black dog from Belgium now born 1st January 24 continuing using European Bloodlines Django’s mother is from the very well-known Australian Breeder Tiahart Kennels she is the lovely Tiahart Miss Monroe!! The Merveille prefix was established in 2001 by Dr Kay Sanderson. Kay has loved and lived with briards for over 25 years. Merveille is an ancient French word meaning marvellous or wonderful which indeed briards are. It was only in 2019 that Kay bred for the first time with her beautiful, friendly, fawn girl, Freya, officially Tiahart Miss Monroe. In an endeavour to increase the gene pool in Australia. Kay imported semen from a beautiful black briard boy from Belgium. His name is Marco Polo du Coeur des Tresors, owned by Peggy Vlaminckx. Marco is a Belgium youth champion with a character test score of 18/20. Freya gave birth to 10 healthy puppies on 17th September, 2019 then 13 healthy puppies on 16th January 2021. All these puppies are in lovely homes with owners reporting lovely characteristics and beautiful temperaments.. Freya and Marco's beautiful, affectionate and loving fawn daughter gave birth to 6 gorgeous puppies mid July 2022 and 7 gorgeous puppies mid July 2023. Semen was imported this time from a beautiful fawn Italian champion called Lud. Hermione O'Ren, his owner, describes Lud as a very friendly, affectionate, balanced, loyal and attentive dog. Aubrey Briards founded during 2006. Our family enjoys exhibiting and sharing our lives with this lovely breed. We do show our Briards but the last few years while focusing on starting our human family we have focused on training and enjoyment of the breed outside of the show ring. Our Briards are renowned for their friendly outgoing personalities. It has been so enjoyable for us to share this breed with many people and embrace this beautiful creature. Our foundation stock came from a well-known Australian kennel Tiahart. We imported our 2 girls CH Tiahart Chai Latte and half-sister CH Tiahart Dejavoo from Jo in NSW. Canada came CH Chaotics Dexter Down Under and from UK, Gilcoru’s Wirra Wirra d’brie and Triskeles Ruby Tuesday. In recent years we have imported Frozen semen from UK’s Kshan Kool Kriminal and Elite Briard Embrujo Imp Spain and we imported Nikita de la Manoliere (France) as a pup. Our Briards have all necessary health tests and DNA testing and profiling. Our dogs speak for themselves. Our home is open for people to come meet the family and enjoy the Briards. I have this lovely male puppy available for sale to a loving home. He is nine weeks old weeks old now and has been raised both inside the house and outside with the other dogs to learn how to socialize. We have been blessed with a litter of 7, from our beautiful Blossom (NZ Ch Ampoter Exotic Blossom) by our Australian Champion import Kam (Aust CH Tunamara Takam Tsha) All have been raised on premium pet food, in a loving family environment, and will be ready to head out into the big world with their new families from 23rd November. Parents are both DNA tested clear of PRA3. 4 boys and 2 girls currently available Pups will come with papers, first vaccinations, microchipped and a puppy pack. We are based in Taranaki but could possibly deliver to Manawatu.

We have 1 very sweet little sable man available (show potential). The little boy is Mr Personality and is such an outgoing, loving little man. He is just an absolute little sweetheart. We had all intentions of running this little man on in the show ring however due to significant health issues we have had to reconsider. He has had both his 1st and 2nd vaccinations along with being microchipped, wormed, vaccinated, health checked and registered on Limited registration with Dogs NSW. He is also toilet trained and to date has never toileted in the house. I have been showing & breeding for over 40 years mainly with our English Springer Spaniels and most recently with Tibetan Spaniels.
