Having obtained my first Springer pet in 1985, I have successfully shown my team in New Zealand and Australia, breeding the occasional litter. All dogs have their eyes tested and hips scored before being bred from - but most important is of course the temperament. My lines are a mix of Australian, Sandanavian and English.
I have a comprehensive breed introduction pack, prepared and fine tuned over the 20 plus years I have been owned by Springers. This is available on application to my email address or fb page
Most of my current show team are listed on My FB page, I don't list all the minor wins my dogs do at breed and cc level. If you are interested in a pet, agility, obedience, working Springer - I have bred many that are successful in this arena. If you want a show Springer - this can be discussed; I only breed when I want something for myself, so all pups get five star treatment.
I am qualified in Canine Behaviour and Canine Husbandty from the respected Massey Veterinary University - New Zealand. Plus I have a recognised Australian certificate in Canine Behaviour.

Featherspun English springer spaniels

We got into springer spaniels when looking for a hunting dog that would also fit well in our busy family with small kids. Not to disappoint we find the springer full of energy when needed, focused and willing while also happy to kick back on the couch for a long snooze and cuddle.

Our Springer's are bred to have excellent health and lovely temperaments. This enables them to excel in all phases of performance from the show ring to obedience, retrieving, therapy work and most importantly to make wonderful family pets. In 2018 we imported Ch. Barecho Custom Made (Björn) and Gr.Ch. Barecho B Witched (Annika) bred by Helene and David Björkman in Sweden. We started showing in July 2018, both dogs attained Australian Champion in 2019 and have picked up multiple awards since, including a RUBIS for Annika in 2022 and Grand Champion in 2023. Annika and Björn are live-in family! In 2019 they had their first litter of seven, with Arvid and Anja remaining with us under our prefix - Ch. Wytcher Angel Eyes and Gr.Ch. Wytcher Dancing Queen respectively - now both Aus Champions, Anja became Grand Champion in 2024. Annika and Björn gave us the beautiful B litter of 10 in 2021 - the irresistible Wytcher B Dazzled 'Beatris' was our keeper, with Ch. Wytcher B Spellbound 'Lily' moving to Darwin (a rockstar already with multi BIS), and Ch. Wytcher B Starbright 'Bella' moving to Victoria. In 2024, in order to extend our breeding lines into the future, we bred Annika to CIE. BE.CH. NL.CH. Crackerjanne Court Favour (UK) - delivering the stunning 'C' litter of seven. We intend only to breed to maintain a springer as part of our family life.
