Piperdene Kennels was established by Robyn Bates in 1987, and has always strived to produce beautiful quality Bedlingtons that rise to the top in the show ring as well as being the very best of companions at home. Over the past 30+ years imported lines have been introduced into solid Australian lines to produce outstanding representatives of the breed. Many of these have been foundation stock for many Australian Kennels. Many Piperdene dogs have enjoyed the winners circle at all the major Royal Shows in Australia, not only winning Best in the Terrier group but also Best in Shows and placement in show. Piperdene Kennels is now situated in Melbourne Victoria in the leafy suburb of Vermont, with 30+ years of grooming and campaigning Bedlington's under my belt I'm excited to continue the legacy. Gentle in nature, charming and ultra-glamorous, Bedlington Terriers are very easy dogs to live with. They are generally very mild mannered and not particularly terrier-like in nature. However they do need a bit of yard or open space to run about, they love to chase and can bark a lot if not trained to do otherwise. A Bedie would be well suited to people who want a dog breed that has very low doggy odour and is non-shedding. Keep in mind that this is a 'groomed' breed, the dogs require regular brushing and clipping to maintain their beautiful outline. Overall, Bedlingtons are ideal indoor companions suited to the modern family lifestyle, they are great with kids and can live actively but harmoniously with other breeds of dog. My Bedlingtons have bloodlines from the best available in Australia, and I have imported dogs from Slovakia and New Zealand, to enhance the very limited gene pool for this breed in Australia. I am very fortunate to have been able to purchase beautiful dogs that continue to have great success in the show ring, and live as wonderful companion dogs with me at home. All are DNA tested for Copper Toxicosis prior to breeding, as required by the ANKC. I show my Champion Bedlingtons in Victoria very regularly and always welcome interest in the breed, a chat and a pat when we have finished our show day. I have three beautiful boys from the mating of LINDERRY MOLLY ODEA X VICTORYBEE COPPER HEAD ROAD Both parents are very strong field bred dogs with Molly being fifty percent imported bloodlines from Europe and UK, and Cooper having outstanding breeding including Orlando, Gamemaster, Kamphogdas and Quailbanders. These puppies are outstanding examples of field breeding, bringing wonderful conformation and temperament together with intelligence and trainability and a desire to please. Irish Setters are wonderful family pets who love to get out into the fresh air for exercise and games and later cuddles on the couch. They are dogs with it all, personality plus, a keen sense of fun, loyalty and beauty and elegance, with of course the glorious red coat for which they are noted. A beautiful redhead always stands out in a crowd. The puppies were born on 2nd April 2024 and have had their third vaccination, microchipped, wormed regularly, vet checked and are on Limited Register Pedigree. Our puppies are brought up in the house and are familiar with all normal household activities and sounds. They are well socialised and love adults and children alike. They are also familiar with our cat and hens and have been introduced to our horses. I have some sweet babies who will be ready for a new family to call their own from the 20/11/24 .. They are genetically clear of CLAD and both forms of PRA .. Parents have good hip scores .. I have a dog who is 4 years old. He will be desexed. I am looking to rehome him as I believe he will be better off in a 1 on 1 environment. Has to sleep in doors, part of a family. Loves walks and swimming. If he is left home alone all day he will bark. No time wasters please as this is not an easy decision.
