Glamcurls Basenjis is located in Brisbane Qld. We raise, socialise and provide our Basenjis the diversity of life experiences in our family home so they are healthy and happy canine family members. Jodie has been involved in Basenjis living with and exhibiting them since childhood. Craig grew up actively showing & breeding Shelties and after meeting Jodie shares her love of the unique and beautiful Basenji. Having established our life in QLD; we now have the lifestyle to commit to our breeding program. Our goal is to breed for beautiful temperaments, outstanding type, health, and soundness in our Basenjis. We are consciously working with long time breeders whose knowledge and experience in the breed we admire. Our breeding basenjis are DNA Health tested, Hip Scored, Fanconi tested with health testing results available on request. Kitoko - sound Basenjis with wonderful temperaments and breed type. Our dogs live in our home as part of our family and are thoroughly socialised. Our breeding stock is genetically health tested with all health reports available to prospective new owners. Basenjis are a wonderful breed, but are not for everyone, so please consider carefully before you add one to your family to make sure that you understand the joys and challenges that this unique breed brings. Since acquiring our first Basenji in 2010, we now have a much loved tribe of Nayembe Basenjis who we have enjoyed showing around Australia, with plenty of "frillies" from Group & classes in Group & Show wins, a Best in Specialty Show (Elli), a Runner Up Best in Specialty Show (Sarabi) & a series of Royal sashes between them, along with Lure Coursing just for fun. In 2016 we bred our first litter of Curlypuppies, from Safiya, & kept Araali our red & white boy, Sarabi & Tukio, red & white, and tri girls. We do not breed every year, & while most of our puppies have gone to loving pet homes, we have some show stars too. Safi, Yaama, Elli, & our home-bred Sarabi, Araali, Kip, Kito, Jarrah, Kyirrie, Solo, Indi, Nakari, Seka & Tani Jack are Champions. Tukio has her Junior Courser title. Jarrah & Seka are Best in Group winners, & Crufts qualifiers. Malia was Baby Puppy in Show at the BCoNSW Show 2020 & her puppies, Raza (multi class in show wins) & Sala are showing now. We regularly take part in Sydney Dog Lovers Show & Basenji breed promotions. Our kennel name is Nayembe, from the Lingala language, meaning "I sing". Our dogs live at home in Tamworth, NSW, and whilst they might be the Barkless Dogs, they can all certainly talk! They make delightful & fascinating companions but please research the breed first. Beautiful Basenji litter born 13/04/2024, which makes these puppies 6 months old. Puppies are pedigreed and registered with the Australian National Kennel Club (ANKC). Free of Fanconi and tested for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) and PPM. Puppies are desexed and have all vaccinations for 1 year. Bayenzi Mze Blitzen (Maisy) is 5 months old, full vaccinated, council registered. Lead and toilet trained. Travels well in cars and loves other dogs and children. She was always my favourite puppy girl in my 2024 litter and had planned to show her, but it’s not her thing so we are offering her for adoption. Maisy is a pretty, sweet natured little girl, she would be best suited to a home where she has another pet companion, dog, cat, bird as she is used to being part of our small pack of 4 and has been raised in the house. Ravi is a beautiful 3 year old, tri colour pure bred basenji. He is the most loving affectionate boy and absolutely loves his people. He would suit a family with a well fenced, secure backyard who have experience with the breed. He is definitely not of a breed where he can be be left outside at night. Basenji's are not for everyone so please do your research before making enquiry. They can be willful and have been described as having cat like traits. They keep themselves scrupulously clean and dislike rainy days intensely. This is Maya, she is a red and white 1.4 years old, desexed Basenji female, X show dog, who has an extremely sweet nature. Due to changed circumstances she is looking for her forever home. She would make an excellent companion Basenji. Maya enjoys playing, and gets on well with male Basenjis as her house mates. She walks well on a lead and is not over reactive to other dogs during a walk. She gets on well with older children, people in general, loves hugs. She travels well in a car, doesnt dig holes, and is not a Basenji escapologist. There are a lot of good things to say about Maya... Basenjis are not suitable to some lifestyles and environments...Maya will be avaialble to an approved home. All transport costs are the responibility of Maya's new family.
