Ashdown Park is a small property in West Gippsland, Victoria. Mum and I are both qualified in dog behaviour and training through the National Dog Trainers Federation. Our Aussie Shepherds are part of the family and our puppies are raised in our home. We have been involved in Australian Shepherds for over 20 years and got our first Aussie after falling in love with the breed at an agility trial. We take pride that we don't just breed fantastic family pets but also put in the extra effort to test our dogs' soundness of mind and body against the breed standard by actively competing in sanctioned ANKC events both in the conformation ring (show ring) and performance ring (i.e. herding, agility, lure coursing, etc). This is in addition to DNA testing, annual eye examinations and hip and elbow scoring that our dogs undergo PRIOR to any breedings taking place. Cedarspring Australian Shepherds, located west of Melbourne Victoria, focuses on producing functional aussies with a sound temperament to match.

I was first bitten by the 'aussie shepherd' bug in 2007, and have since been involved in dog sports such as flyball, rally-obedience, tracking, agility, tricks and lure coursing with my aussies.

Cedarspring aims to produce versatile dogs that can perform well in sporting and performance trials, as well as claim their rightful place as part of a loving family.

All breeding stock is DNA tested, hip and elbow scores completed and eye tests performed annually. Puppies are raised with Puppy Culture protocols, eye tests completed, Volhard temperament testing, microchipped, vaccinated, registered with Dogs Australia and DNA testing for MDR1 completed before going to their new homes.

Please note we have no plans for any future litters at this stage.

We are recreational breeders of Australian Shepherds based in Doreen, Victoria. We have one female Australian Shepherd, Sadie (Clearun Red Sea) who is well and truly a member of our family. With her wonderful temperament, beauty and intelligence, we quickly learnt that Sadie would be a wonderful contributor to a breeding program aligned with the goal of maintaining and enhancing the breed standard. And with that our breeding journey began!

We are committed to breeding quality dogs, that are healthy and have sound temperament. Our pups are raised as part of our family, learning from their daily interactions and activities with our children - setting them up to be great family members.

Located in western Victoria, we breed rarely. Our dogs are very much part of our family, and spend their time with us on our 10 acres property, plus trips to the beach and camping in the bush, as well as attending shows and dog sport trials. We fell in love with the Aussie breed a number of years ago and were lucky enough to have as our introduction to the breed our wonderful Annie, Indyridge Bella CDX RN. She is a one-in-a-million dog who is wonderful to live with and has been a great introduction into the world of obedience trialling for me, which then led me to the show ring, with the addition of a dog from Borderton Kennels in Western Australia. Reuben bounded into our lives and is now known as Australian Champion Borderton Zenvo Ltd Edition and we thank Borderton for allowing us to love and campaign this dog. We are involved mostly in conformation (dog showing) these days but plan to get back into the obedience/rally ring soon. All our dogs are loved by us and are a big part of our family. We only have litters occasionally and the pups are brought up inside our home with our children and other pets. Ausdreaming Cant Stop (Scout) has been mated to Skyepark Braveheart (Bear) and the litter will be due on Boxing Day 2024.
Scout is a Red Tri and Bear is a Blue merle who is Red Factored, so this litter will have the potential to have all colours.
Pups will be reared at home and socialise with mum, and grandfather, aunt and Bandit who is the Surrogate Mum (just loves all pups and has the greatest patience with little ones) For the first 4- weeks of their lives they will be reared inside our home and then they will be introduced to our large outside enclosure complete with visual stimuli and safe and comfortable sleeping area with hay bales and kennels. During the day they will be able to enjoy running around on our 2 acre property.
Both parents have excellent Hips, Elbows and eyes cleared every year. Both have been DNA profiled and have been chosen for structure and temperament.
Pups wlil be wormed, mirochipped, inocculated and have their eyes cleared prior to leaving our care.
The pups will undergo Temperament Testing at 6 weeks to ensure that pups are matched with the perfect Adopting Parents.
Pups will be available to go to their new home by the end of February 2025.
