We only breed from Aussies who have full vet checks, DNA tested, excellent hip and elbow scores, brilliant temperaments and are truly representative of this wonderful breed. Our dogs are companions and much loved best friends! We place a number of our dogs in family homes until they are used for breeding to allow them to do what they do best, be family pets. They come home to us for whelping in a safe environment. Our dogs are allowed to be dogs, run in parks, join in playdates, swim at the beach and be loved by children and their foster families. Aussies need the stimulation that large open spaces provide and the socialisation that comes with various external stimuli. Our dogs interact, not just with other dogs and their immediate foster family, but also with other children, the elderly, the community and extended family in those environments. Many of our dogs have gone on to become government approved assistance dogs working in nursing homes and with special needs adults and children. We are understandably proud of our focus on temperament. We do not support early desexing of puppies due to the inherent physical problems that creates. (see current literature on our facebook page). With a focus on Form, Function, Intelligence and Versatility, a Norsonix Aussie will be a wonderful companion and performance dog. The aim at Norsonix is to produce balanced, moderate dogs with sound temperaments and exceptional biddability. Rune, the foundation of Norsonix is currently working her way through various performance sports including Herding, Tracking, Scentwork, Agility, Tricks, Rally, Obedience, Dances With Dogs and more proving her versatility in everything she does. All health testing is completed on adults prior to breeding including Hip & Elbow scores, DNA testing and Eye certificates annually. Here at Norsonix, breeding will be infrequent and people with performance plans and active homes will be given preference. Puppies will be raised in the home with enrichment following elements from the puppy culture programme. All puppies will be evaluated against the breed standard for conformation and be temperament tested to best match them with potential homes. Before they leave they will be vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and have eyes cleared. All puppies will be placed on limited register with DogsWest (NOT for showing or breeding), with a comprehensive puppy pack and a life time of breeder support. I have been very privileged to be mentored and guided in the breed by some great breeders in Australia. They inspire me to breed Australian Shepherds that will also be an asset to not only the breed but also a joy to their eventual families. I have owned Aussies since 2013 and been showing them since 2016. Aussies are a fantastic breed with a goofy sense of humour, a huge zest for life and are up for anything whether it's a hours-long hike through the bush or a day snuggled on the couch, as long as they're with their family. We are a small Perth based breeder who love the Australian Shepherd Breed. We have decided to move on our 2 year old Black Tri bitch (NBT and red factored). If you would be interested in having her as a guardian home we would be very interested to talk more about that. Must be located in SEQ. She is suited to a home with no children or at the youngest teenagers. She is fine with all adults and loves other dogs/animals but unfortunately was not socialised around children when she was young and in turn is scared of them. We have tried hard for the last 6 months to get her used to them but it’s come to a point where it’s not fair on her or the kids. Excellent dog just not suited to our family. She is DNA tested and clear. Has excellent hip and elbow scores. She is currently entire and on mains reg but can desex for a pet home.

We have a very sweet boy available with terms to a Victorian home. Ideally a home where he will get to use his brain as well as being a loved family member. He has done some tracking work previously and would excell in rally, obedience or carnicross etc. He's been tested on stock and shows lovely drive but still respectful. He ignores chickens and cats and is great with other dogs. Saying this he also loves a good beach trip and would welcome a spot on a comfy couch. He loves kids and plays with mine beautifully, being young himself and a bit silly still with a lot of love to give, he's not recommended for small children or small dogs. He knows the basics of sit, lay down etc and is crate trained. His new family will need to continue his training and maintain boundaries with him. He is looking for his own family through no fault of his own, he just deserves his own people and couch to call his. He is DNA tested, has his hips and elbows scored with his full vet record available.

We have decided to let our lovely black tri boy Samba go to a pet home , Samba is 2yo, desexed and looking for a new couch to call his own. Samba is full of personality and will make his presence known, he loves to run, swim, play with his toys and most of all he loves to love on his people Samba is best suited to be on some acreage or good size backyard , he has not grown up around small children so better suited to a home with teenagers/adults. He is good with cats and other dogs , females will be better , he has been crate trained, lead trained , he has been washed and blowdried regularly from 8 weeks old. Mature red tri female with a long bob tail will be looking for new adventures in February 2025. Registered ANKC. Maddy is a sweet natured and very loyal girl who has been raised on a farm and is obsessed with the side by side buggy. She adores going for rides, and will sit on it for ages even when it's not moving, just in case it goes somewhere without her ;) Maddy would ideally suit a lady owner, as she is not overly keen on human men, though she is fine to be handled by male vets etc. She does consider herself something of a watch dog and will bark at strangers to her home, and for this reason I feel that Maddy would best suit a home on acreage as she will probably be noisy with suburban foot traffic walking passed her gate if left to her own devices. However she could also suit a travelling home as she is easily controlled and polite when her human is present. She is gentle in her behaviour, good in the car, good for the vet and crate trained. She is social with other dogs in the home/friends however has never been to an off leash dog park. Maddy has been living with a family but their circumstances have changed and sadly she needs to find a new home. She is currently in season and will be desexed in January and will be ready to go to her new home after. Updated photos to come.
