I am truly blessed and honoured to have been entrusted with four stunning, solid, red Australian Cattle Dogs. We are only a small kennel and only breed occassionally. At Maehonehe ACD's "The Red Ones" - I believe in meeting all of our dogs needs - body, mind and soul. Our fur kids show and trial. I am working hard to establish a full trialling team where all the furkids particpate in the performance sports, as well as showing.
When we are not training or competing the fur kids love nothing more than to go for a swim and play.

We are a small kennel located in the New England district of New South Wales.
The historic town of Tenterfield sits high up on the Great Dividing Range approx. 1,000 metres above sea level.
Our 2 acre property is located to the north of the village, just on the edge of town.

Breeding predominantly for reds, we carefully research prospective stud dogs to select those that compliment our bitches. Our breeding stock are DNA tested for hereditary diseases and all pups sold have copies of documentation to confirm these health tests. We aim to produce strong, healthy pups that are true-to-type.

You are most welcome to come and inspect our kennels.

I have owned, trained, handled, bred and loved Australian Cattle Dogs for more than 20 years.
I am a retired ANKC full panel Agility & Games Judge and currently compete at Tracking as well as in the Show ring.
Heelersridge dogs have great drive, are keen to learn and are very biddable.

We occasionally have adult dogs looking for their forever homes.

Turrella Kennels was established in 1949 by Cheryls father Alf Ouley (kennel is now 70 years old).The dogs are handled by both Cheryl & Arthur.The Turrella dogs are well known, winning at many major shows with multiple Best In Shows All Breeds, Specialty & Semi Specialty shows. Breeding both red & blue cattle dogs, & producing 69 champion titles so far worldwide & two grand champions, 1 International,3 neutered champions (Queenie was the first to title in Aust.),1 CD,1 CDX,1 AD & 1JD. Exporting 74 dogs to 20 countries. Our dogs are tested for PRA, HIP & ELBOW SCORED & BAER TESTED. When exporting, these tests & good test results are important. Frozen semen is now available in USA, through Scrubbycreek kennels (Mark Bamberry).We have frozen semen in Australia, with Progenetics (Grant Chalk) but could not get it off him, was trying for 2 years, had 3 tribunals at court, was finally converted to cash in court, garnishee orders got my money.
Our dogs & their health test results can be viewed on our website. Our kennel is known for dogs good test results & true results, especially overseas.

Cheryl is the author of the book "OLD TIMERS",information about cattle dogs & their breeders up to 1970. Book can be purchased direct from Cheryl for $50 ( was $70) plus $14 postage.
On the 30/9/08, Cheryl judged the Dog/Bitch & Veteran Sweepstakes at the Australian Cattle Dog Club of America 2008 National Specialty in Pennsylvania. This was very special & interesting Cheryl.
