All our dogs are Registered with Dogs NZ (formerly NZKC). They are health tested once they have matured and must have good results before considering them for our breeding program. Whilst we continue to maintain the 'Essence and Integrity' of the American Staffordshire Terrier, it is also our intention to strive to achieve the Best Of The Breed.

Shasta kennels is a small family boutique dog kennel based in Wellington, New Zealand.

We have loved and owned the American Staffordshire breed since 2006 and have been competing in conformation dog shows since 2008.

We believe in breeding for ourselves and to produce quality, sound, American Staffordshire Terriers.

We are looking for applicants interested in Showing, Working as well as Companion and Guardian Homes. Companion puppies are sold with a desexing contract, Working or Potential Show puppies are sold on co-ownership. If you are interested in becoming a Guardian home, then please email us.
All puppies are registered with DogsNZ (NZKC), have had their first Vet Check, Vaccine, are wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age and are Microchipped before going to their new homes.
Puppies will be ready after 8wks of age and once we have chosen our keeper, not before.
