Shokuma Akitas have been South Australia's top Akita Kennel for many years. In over 24 years we have bred and/or owned 35 Champions, 4 Grand Champions & 2 Supreme Champions, an achievement unrivalled by any past or present SA breeder. All of our Titles have been achieved at contested shows.

Our dogs are bred from imported bloodlines, mainly from the UK and in particular, from the world famous Ruthdales Akita Kennels.

We are excited to announce the safe arrival of beautiful longhair babies from 'Heidi' Champion Waldwiese Worlds Apart and 'Neeko' Dual Champion (T) Waldwiese Xplain Yourself (AI). These babies will be ready to leave for their new homes after November 30th. Prior to breeding all of our dogs undergo full health testing for Hyperuricosuria, Hypomyelination, Spinal Dysraphism and Degenerative Myelopathy along with Hip and Elbow x-rays. Puppies come with Dogs SA pedigree, vaccination certificate, microchipping, wormed and 12 months membership to the Weimaraner Club of SA. Every one of the pups we breed comes with lifetime support and 6 weeks health insurance. All of our litters are reared in a family environment and well socialized with both people and other dogs.
