In the early 70's Colleen Krause-Sydow of Quom Afghans moved on from being just an exhibitor to a small but discerning breeder.
Now the Quom type is acknowledged worldwide even though the litters bred over the decades are minimal, in ratio to prominence Quom Afghans feature in many pedigrees of top winners even if they do not carry the Quom kennel name. 1979 was too early for a small breeder to reach their pinnacle but Best In Show Sydney Royal under the esteemed Annie Rogers Clark USA, with a bred owned and handled dog was indeed a "climax". The best was still to come....that Afghan, Ch Quom Star Spangld Banner, "Dallas" was to become a legend in his own lifetime as a producer. "Dallas" is still to this day Australia's greatest homebred Champion Afghan producer with 50 (individual) champions worldwide with too many added titles to record! Plus 20 additional BIS winners..........all with little advertising and limited showing. In 1980's my new husband Adam Khoury became my right hand man at Quom with the help our daughters Alexis and Siobhan, and since then we have added Greyhounds and Pugs to our show team.

At Kiriel we are excited to announce the impending arrival of 2 very special litters. Expressions of Interest are invited but be quick, the waiting list is filling fast.
Litter 1 .. Our gorgeous deep gold girl Tali -Kiriel Talisker AI , has been confirmed in whelp to the handsome Beau - Fernfall Mr Bojangles.
Litter 2... Our blonde bombshell Polly - Kiriel Faire Isle AI- is in whelp to a magnificent dog in the UK by frozen TCI.
These will be very special puppies.
Lots of fabulous Goldens from the UK and Europe in each pedigree.

The puppies will be registered with Dogs Victoria, be vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed every 2 weeks. They will go home at 8 weeks with a Comprehensive puppy manual, the GRCV Handbook, Royal Canin food, some toys a blanket with their mum's aroma. Of course they come with 6 weeks free insurance.
We welcome visits and are very open to helping you choose your family's forever companion. Parents have passed all required health testing -hips, elbows, eyes, heart and DNA. They are all successful show dogs with wonderful temperaments.

Ambrecreek has a litter of puppies born in early June that will then go to their new homes at the end of July. The parents of this litter were bred for good health and breed to standard, with low hip/ elbow scores, clear eye and heart certificates and full DNA profile testing.

Puppies from this litter are available to good homes and will be vet checked with health certificate, vaccinated, wormed and ANKC registered. You will also receive a well stocked 'puppy starter pack and an experienced breeder to provide help and guidance as needed - for the life of your dog!

Ambrecreek is a small family kennel (ANKC and Golden Retriever club of VIC member) and we socialise our pups from an early age. My dogs are part of the family and grow up on acreage in an environment that is natural for dog development.

On our puppy open day (after the puppies are vaccinated) you will be invited to visit to meet the puppies and both parents. We also have a Facebook group for the litter where you can see videos and photos to watch them grow up from newborns to playful toddler age puppies.

The most common feedback we get from our puppy families of the past is about the gentle friendly temperaments, with many families returning for a second family dog!

Puppies have arrived!!! We currently have a litter born on 12th June and ready to go to their forever homes on the 7th August.

We have been showing & breeding for more than 35 years and are current one of 4 Life Members of the Golden Retriever Club of Queensland. Breeding and Showing has become a big part of our lives and the biggest hobby we have had during our lives. Our showing hobby has been so significant it also influenced our youngest son to follow in our footsteps resulting in the showing and breeding becoming a family affair.

Both parents (Ava and Pendlebury) have had Hip, Elbow, Eyes and Heart clearance and PRA-1 PRA-2 and Ichthyosis DNA testing completed.
