My life surrounded by dogs started in 1977 with a Yellow Labrador. Then in 1981 I purchased my first Golden Retriever and went onto have this breed for 15 years or more. After a break from showing I recommenced in 1998 when I purchased my first Cocker Spaniel. I have now had Cocker Spaniels for 26 years and have shown 26 through to their Australian Champions, 3 through to Grand Championship status and 1 through to his Supreme Title. I have now bred 25 Australian Champions. In 2019 I entered the Aspiring Judges program to become a Gundog Judge. Covid interrupted and turned what was to be an 18 month program into almost 4 years. But after much study and hard work I passed my practical examination in October 2022. Another achievement I'm very proud of. I have already had an appointment in Sydney metropolitan area and look forward to Judging more Gundogs in the future.
