I have been involved with the dog world since the age of nine. Participating in all aspects of the dog world including administration of the foundation breed club of Australia the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Society of NSW Inc, in various positions over the decades including Secretary, show management, protection of the breed with input to government legislation. Breed Assessor, State Government. Event management of events for RAS now know Dogs NSW served on PR Committee of Dogs NSW. Mentoring Stafford folk in all aspects including handling, animal husbandry and education of aspirant judges.

Our family The Reeders of Gamester Staffordshire Bull Terriers purchased their first Stafford in 1967 registering the Gamester Prefix with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW in 1968 breeding their first litter in that year. Our first show dog Australian Champion Torumba Blue Samantha when the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was a minority breed in Australia. Sam helped set the show scene for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Australia.

We registered The Reeders as a hobby of pure bred dogs’ exhibition and breeding as it was a family activity and interest for all members of our family as they were all involved in some aspect or another.

Mentored by my mother the matriarch of the breed in Australia Yvonne Reeder and as a co-owner breeder, on her passing our breeding and name lives on with the continuous co-ownership of our name Gamester Staffords The Reeders along with my sister Kerrie Reeder.(also an international judge)

I, along with my family have bred, imported and exported, exhibited, handled top award winning Staffordshire Bull Terriers continuously since 1968. I have co-bred and co-owned and handled some of Australia’s and NZ’s UK and top award winning Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

Importing the very best bloodlines from NZ UK, Wales, South Africa and USA to set the ground work for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Australia and NZ. Not least pioneering frozen semen to Australia with many other milestones for our beloved breed. Owning breeding and importing and handling every colour without prejudice.

I have been fortunate to have handled top quality Staffordshire Bull Terriers to top awards in the following countries: England, Sweden, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Bermuda, Australia.

After 50 years in the dog world internationally with special interests in many of the Terrier Group breeds I believe the natural progression is to move forward to judging. I was successful in gaining my Terrier licence and have found it has been a pleasure and an honour to judge the dogs entered for my opinion on the day. I have judged in the following countries: Canada, Australia, USA.
