Judge Profile

I was born into a family with a strong involvement in sporting dog activities. When I arrived into the world my parents were exhibiting dogs and I don’t remember the family home or my own home ever being dog-less. It was inevitable I became involved in the dog showing world and started showing my first dogs as a child handler in the 1970’s.
My family purchased their first Rhodesian Ridgeback in 1967. The “Shelridge” Kennel prefix was established in Australia in 1984. RR’s bred or owned by “Shelridge” have enjoyed numerous accolades at both specialty and all breed championship shows including multiple BIS, RUBIS, RUBISS, Royal BOB, RR club point-score and RR of the year competitions. Breeder of multi champion and Grand Champion RRs. “Shelridge” RRs have also ventured into the obedience, endurance and tracking disciplines obtaining multi titles and awards. “Shelridge” RR’s can be identified on the pedigrees of numerous top winning Rhodesian Ridgebacks in Australia and overseas.
I’ve also had a considerable involvement with Saluki’s and Newfoundland’s having owned and or/ bred BISS and RUBISS representatives, Grand Champions and multi champions.in both breeds
I purchased my first Skye Terrier in 2017 and successful achieved my first Skye terrier champion status in 2018.
