I have been involved in dogs my entire life in one way or another, as a child growing up on a Merino stud, we had many working dogs but it was in 1994 that I took this love of dogs to the next level with the purchase of my first Akita show dog.
Under the Shinano Prefix with limited breeding, we have titled many Multi BIS and BISS Australian Champions, Grand Champions and Supreme champion dogs and bitches, with some lovely and memorable wins along the way.
We have imported dogs from the UK and the USA to assist in the ongoing improvement of our magnificent breed.
This love of dogs gave me a thirst for knowledge on other breeds within the Utility group and there started my judging career.
Now with Championship Show licenses in :
Utility, Non-Sporting, Hounds, Gundogs, Working and Toys. Open Show status in Terriers.
I have travelled overseas many times to Crufts, World dog shows, Akita Specialties to try and enhance my knowledge of all the breeds. Every time I judge, I continue to learn!!!
I am committed to the Dog Show world and hold several positions on committees within Dogs Victoria.

I am honoured to judge at any shows in Australia and oversees and have been lucky enough to be asked to judge specialties in most states of Australia and New Zealand.
