I have been involved in show dogs since 1999, breeding and exhibiting Cairn Terriers under the Emeraldcity prefix with my wife. Our Cairn Terriers have been successful, winning multiple Best In Show awards at Breed, Terrier and All Breeds levels under Australian and International judges. After visiting a number of kennels in the UK, we imported a cairn terrier from a well-known kennel, who has sired Breed specialty winners. We have also exhibited Silky Terriers, Norwich and Skye Terriers. I have handled Alaskan Malamutes, Fox Terrier Smooths, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Boston Terriers, and Jack Russel Terriers.
I have been involved with Breed, Group and All Breed clubs in Australia, and have attended shows internationally including Crufts, Breed and All Breeds shows.
I have been judging since 2012, commencing in Sydney when I judged over 140 terriers at an All Breeds Championship show. I have judged most states of Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and USA.
I had the privilege of judging Terrier group specialty shows in both Australia and New Zealand, and a highlight was judging the 2014 British Terrier Club Show in Sydney. Other prestigious shows I have judged are the National Cairn Terrier Show in Saint Petersburg Russia (2016), Cairn Terrier Show Finland (2017) and Kennel Club of Palm Springs 2023 Hound Group.
