Founded in 1965 as Rerehau Cardigan Welsh Corgis, then changed to the globally recognised COPPERLEAF prefix in 1977. Breeding and showing Cardigans for 42 years and exporting to 8 countries, Copperleaf Cardigans became known for their high standard and excellent winning and breeding performance in NZ and lands far beyond. After a 13 year break away from the dog fancy, in 2019 I returned to the breed, importing quality breeding stock from long established winning bloodlines in Australia. I now occasionally have puppies and older stock available to discerning buyers. The health of my dogs is extremely important and I run all necessary tests. The kennel is situated in the rolling Waikato countryside.
