Zaila Standard Poodles prides itself with having sound, true-to-type Standard Poodles. With imported and high quality Australian bloodlines any pup from us will be a delight to have as a family pet, as a engaged dog for obedience, rally or agility sports or for showing. In an effort to maintain excellence in all areas, all our dogs are tested by Embark, by JC Davis and by Better Genes. Breeding for health, temperament and type. Blacks,,whites,creams & possibly reds. All our dogs and pups are fed only Raw Meaty Bones, no commercial food at all, we are now breeding sixth generation raw fed dogs. All our pups are whelped and raised in the home.

Breeding only the very occasional litter to improve type, quality, health and temperament. Every precaution is taken to minimise risk of any potential health issues with my dogs undertaking available testing such as DNA profiles and hip/elbow scores. I show in the conformation ring and participate in obedience classes where possible. We are hoping to try our hand at lure coursing over the coming year! I also groom pets as a hobby so our dogs are exposed to lots of other people, children and different breeds of dogs. Raised on 20 acres of hobby farm our puppies are used to geese, sheep, tractors, machinery and general "farm life". Showing excellent temperaments, being athletic and well socialised, our puppies are raised as a part of our family and are fed a high quality, age appropriate diet. The last litter is showing great trainability with pups moving through the ranks at obedience and beginning to excel in the show ring. Fabulous comments from judges on quality and structure of the young dogs I have in the conformation ring. Also making great, polite members of their new families showing their truly versatile nature. We have Silver and Blue babies. Parents are Health Tested, and genetic diversity tested via Better Bred. Puppies are being raised in our home as part of our family. We have completed Early Neurological Stimulation with these puppies and have continued exposing the puppies to as many experiences as possible in the time they are with us. We follow the principals of Puppy culture and Newborn to New Home Curriculum. Puppies have had weekly baths, dried with force dryer, clipped, scissored, brushed and combed, toenails from 3 weeks old. Started toilet training, car rides and crate training, exploring outside. Puppies will leave us on with Dogs Australia Limited Registration, not for breeding with a desexing contract. Our puppies are part of our family, and we love to be kept updated as they grow and will always have a home back with us/ or help find a suitable home if circumstances ever change. We excitedly announced the arrival of Cookies litter 6 weeks ago, they are toddlers now and their gorgeous personalities are beginning to show. They’re cheeky, snuggly bundles of fun. Parents are DNA Tested to ensure they are suitable for breeding healthy progeny. Puppies are wormed biweekly from birth and receive their 6 weeks vaccination and microchip at 6 weeks of age, they also receive an extensive health check at this time. Our fur kids are our family and live with us in the house, free to come and go as they please. Puppies are very well socialised in this environment. The older dogs play with them and teach them not to fear the sound of the vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, washing machine etc. our grandchildren play gently with them so they are not frightened of little people and learn to understand how to interact with them. We perform Bio Sensor Therapy from days 2 to 16 of their life. This consists of several exercises we do with them which desensitises them to common things that they may feel and experience later in life. Thinking of adding one of our puppies to your home? We have 8 week old male and female white pup available, from Clair and Marlon and one 6 week old black male to Jazmine. Both parents have excellent temperaments and health tests including DNA clear. Puppies have been given the Veterinarian Health Check and have been reported in excellent health. We raise our puppies with Puppy Culture and Early Neurological Stimulation. We work on puppy manners, crate training, potty training, weekly grooming and assess their temperament to help match puppies with their homes at 9 weeks. Breeders Term Home 6 month old Blue Boy. Lovely temperament, crate trained, lead trained, travels great in car and been socialized. Has been shown successfully. However looking for a champion for the breed home for him. Which is where he is your loved and adored pet but providing he passes all his health testing he will eventually be used as apart of our breeding program. For this you need to be located in Tassie. Regretfully, I am looking for a very special home for my 16 month old girl. I had kept her, hoping for my last breeding girl. (I'm getting older). This girl has not developed as I hoped, being lean and rangy and a little too long for her height. Overall, she has not met my expectations of the breed, so I have had her desexed ready to be placed. What you need to know. "Cher" thinks she is a puppy and plays rough with other dogs. She can be super loving, then jump on you. She learns easily, but it didn't help that I returned to work when she was a puppy. Cher doesn't mind being bathed, but the dryer still scares her. She is well behaved on the grooming table but panics a bit when being picked up or put down from the table. Cher weighs 21 kilos and is hard to fatten up as she is so energetic. She has been on a high calorie / high fat diet for 3 months. Cher will follow you around, step in front of you, spin in circles when excited, and generally be a clown. Cher has spent most of her time with her canine relatives, either in air conditioned kennels, or running in our day yards, when not with us. She is used to cattle passing within metres of her. A mature non reactive companion who knows the ropes would be an advantage. Hoping to settle her locally, so that she can come back if it doesn't work out.
